New Beta Testing Weekend Coming October 7

After Beta Testing Weekends took a bit of a hiatus, many in the community wondered when they would return. Luckily for us, we now have our answer. In a news article posted on the Star Wars: The Old Republic official website, a new weekend date followed: October 7 - 10

Now we're getting ready for another Beta Testing Weekend, starting on October 7th and finishing on October 10th. With increased invite numbers from the first weekend, even more of you will get to play The Old Republic.

As a companion to this announcement, Senior Online Community Manager Stephen Reid revealed that all invites for weekend number two were sent out.

All invites for Beta Testing Weekend #2 have now been sent.

Please check your email (including spam folders) and login to swtor.com/tester/ to see if you have been accepted for this weekend's testing. If you were not invited to this weekend, you may be invited to future testing.

As always, you can be sure that when more information becomes available on the Beta Testing Weekends that we will bring it to you as it happens.

02.13.2009 is the day I registered account at swtor.com, registered system config probably third day for beta, got pre-order first day... every single disappointed mail box refresh is like lemon on an open wound.

I got into the first weekend, but the email was so late I was out of town (was the labor day long weekend), so I just declined it when I got back frustrated on monday.

Now I got into the second weekend..... But I'll be out of town for at least half of it for Thanksgiving (Canada). I'm grateful since I'll actually get some hands on time after 3 years of waiting, but I'd really like to know who though it was a brilliant idea to make beta testing "weekends".

On a side note... Emails were much more timely this time, and can actually download the huge client before it starts.

No luck here, guess I'll have to play BF3 then.

I thaught they really didnt't send out invites cause I couldn't find anyone who actually got invited. So I hated bioware for that. Then I found out a friend got an invite...

Now I hate the bloody bastard >:(

I checked my email and I did not get a beta invite, but I'm not worried about it. If I don't get into beta testing for SWTOR, I don't get in. I just figure, so what.

There was 1020 for the first beta weekend? What would you say for this weekend...maybe 5-6 thousand? That's a drop in the bucket for how many total testers that are signed up. I'm not gonna hold my breath for an invite unless they start inviting tens of thousands of people at once. If you get an invite, please do your part and send bug reports. Don't just play and say f@#& it, I don't care about that survey.

I'm not positive, but I think 1020 is the testing squadron number, and not the number of invitees.

    Hai there,

We can hope that beta testers do thier part, however when there are so many in the same place they are bound to do thier job and notice what they are suppose to notice. So I expect every bug or glitch to be reported, and also having the many people stressing the server by jumping in the same place.

We know that a lot of people don't complete those surveys. Luckily bioware has some really good data no matter if they complete their survey or not, they showed that in a previous update

We're inviting all of 1020 to this weekend; we bulked up the overall numbers to compensate.

If you were part of 1020 and you haven't been invited by this time tomorrow (October 5th) - get in touch with CS via support@swtor.com

In other words, don't spam this thread please.

This is what SR said on a dev blog, I believe its the number of people invited to the first beta weekend.
    I could be wrong though.
