Revan Interviews and Excerpts

Star Wars: The Old Republic: Revan hits store shelves next Tuesday. With the release less than a week away, facts about the novel are rapidly becoming more available. Jay Shephard and Chris Wyman had an interview with the author, Drew Karpyshyn, in their latest episode of The ForceCast: Jedi Journals. During the interview, they discuss Drew's previous Star Wars books, Revan, and the Dark Side. Drew also revealed that his recently announed SWTOR book will take place after SWTOR's in-game story. The episode is available on the podcast's website, as well as iTunes. The intervew begins at 1:14:41 and runs just under 30 minutes.

If you cannot wait for Revan to release, Drew also compiled a list of websites that have posted other interviews and excerpts from the book.

Interesting ... pre-ordered through bookdepository.co.uk, got the "pre-order has come in" email 2 weeks ago, and got it shipped from UK to Australia, arriving yesterday (Wednesday) here. Just picked it up from the post office - there goes any work done for the next couple of nights!

And since the repy to this / edit comment function seems to be broken I'll add something in a new comment.

First, sorry about the Exile spoiler. As for everything else I wrote, none of it was a spoiler. I am just pointing out that pretty much everything in KOTOR2 in retconned. So if you liked the story, the idea of the Exile being a wound in the force, Darth Nihilus' power, pretty much the whole point of the game, then you don't want to read Drew's book because he shits all over it.

Considering Drew K. addresses all of this on his blog due to the fan outrage by how much he shit on KOTOR2's writing staff I hardly call what I wrote spoilers. Oh, and his blog response makes he out to be an even bigger douche.

For the first time in a very long time I'm actually considering reading an EU book... two if you count that Darth Plagueis thing next year... maybe I have water on the brain or something...
