The DreamHack event begins at 8:00AM CET on Thursday, November 24th and runs, non-stop, until 8:00AM CET on Sunday, November 27th. Members of BioWare's European Community Team will be on hand throughout the weekend.

    Will this beta test include previous testers?

    Just test a class you don't intend to play initially. For me I'm prolly going for the Smuggler or JK. They are pretty far down my list, but the Smuggler plays a lot like the IA, my intended class, so it will be a great mechanics test to see if I like it. And the Jedi Knight is just too iconic to leave entirely alone.

    Charming... yes? http://imgur.com/r6WrI

    @Frogsox

    That is my line of thinking as well. I plan on first playing the Bounty Hunter, then the Sith Inq, and lastly the Imperial Agent. So, it only makes sense that I play the Jedi knight during the beta so I don't spoil the mechanics or the story, but I can get a feel for the game and its other systems. I especially want to look at crafting, the ui, and pvp mechanics. I'll leave story for early access.

    Watching the "Trooper vs. Inquisitor trailer now. The old lady the Trooper talks to at start looks like General Garza from the official site. Could it be her? Might be good to note for a dissection. http://www.swtor.com/info/holonet/biographies/general-garza

    Talz seen in-game for the first time too. And I think we see what looks to be the Dark Council. At 2:59 the Inquisitor targets the Trooper at the start of the attack. He has a weird purple semi-circle around his targeting thing in the UI, possibly the Resolve Bar seen in-game for the first time? At 3:43, one of the troopers has a pistol.

    In other words, I'm going with DarthSerious. Thanks for spoiling parts of the story for those of us who are planning to play said class. Try not to be so inconsiderate next time.

    Well that f@cking blows. What happened to just saying you're in or have been in testing and staying quiet about any and all things you experience during the game testing you participate in. FFS?

    flem1, maybe not. He's trying to talk without breaking NDA, and he just didn't get vague enough. Those of us who *know things* have that line to walk, and we're bound to mess up sometimes. :P

    Wow, I have not been able to login onto my account at SWTOR at all for the last 5 hours.

    WalterPeck is really *trying* to get banned, isn't he.
  • #25 Carmelita
    And it's not even confined to launch countries! Huzzah for Australian love! Now to decide what is furthest away from both a Trooper and an SI ... maybe JK?

    in the list of sites for Beta Codes is Curse, I don't see anything on their page about it... last thing I see them posting about SWTOR is on Nov. 7th. about BioWare boosting security for users accounts. Anyone else not seeing anything about the Beta Codes on there site ?

  • #23 McFool
    Has anybody else not been able to log into the beta? I have all the software downloaded but the start button still won't light up.
  • #22 DarthSerious
    @walterpeck

    You gave away the companion without saying it directly. So the surprise is gone.

    Also the reply button is not working?
  • #21 DarthSerious
    I suppose the NDA shall be lifted since everyone will get in by then. I would be interested in beta reviews mostly covering pvp. I have confidence in other things that are in swtor so I hope pvp turns out to be great especially with large numbers.
