With Star Wars: The Old Republic past its initial launch day, James Ohlen took the opportunity to tease upcomming post-launch content in the form of a new Flashpoint and an expansion to an existing Operation (Kragga's Palace). Ohlen relayed his comments through the new community news feature that has seen a spree of posts today stating the following:
Next month we're going to be releasing a new Flashpoint and an expanded Operation. The new Flashpoint involves a plague that could have significant repercussions across the galaxy. It takes place on a brand new world and involves some pretty epic battles. I can’t go into much detail, but be prepared for something different. The expanded Operation takes the existing Karagga’s palace scenario and more than triples it in size. It includes three new boss monsters and some pretty epic set pieces.
Ohlen also included a little teaser image of one of the bosses which can be viewed after the jump. For the community news feature in full, visit the official SWTOR site.

Posted 12/23/2011 10:39:39 PMToo bad I won't be seeing it. The whole "Pay to get your 'free' month" thing has REALLY turned me off. EA has to go and ruin everything.

Posted 12/23/2011 11:05:43 PMAs long as your debit/credit card didn't get charged, I don't see how you paid for a free month.

Posted 12/23/2011 11:38:10 PMI don't have one to charge, so I'd have to buy and enter a time card, therefor I'd 'pay' to use my free month.

Posted 12/24/2011 2:02:25 AMAh, well that's actually fairly standard for the industry. You'll still get your free month, but they'r ensuring you have a way to pay for the game after that month has past. It's done for the benefit of the publishers as well as the consumers.

Posted 12/24/2011 11:49:42 AMWhy not get a pre-paid credit card then? You use that, if you decide to cancel before the first charged month then you still get to keep all the money on the pre-paid card. You can get them just about anywhere.

Posted 12/24/2011 9:04:14 PMFor must people, though, this isn't hard at all. This is true even of those who use prepaid time cards. Your question is highly subjective.

Posted 12/25/2011 7:02:58 AMYou have plenty of options debit/CC, paypal. If you dont own any of those things perhaps you coul ask your mom or dad if they'll set up you first month so you could get your first free month to test it. If worst comes to worst just buy a time card and play for two months. The game has Plenty of content worth playing.

Posted 12/27/2011 6:38:23 AM...which won't get charged until you use your free time. So if this is what you have to do, then technically you'll get your second month free instead of your first. Either way you still get a free month in there somewhere.
Also, you might ask your bank if they have debit cards available... "credit" cards that draw directly from your checking account.

Posted 12/24/2011 10:37:19 AMIt is well worth getting, the game is amazing. Imo if your going to try and play it, pay for 2 months and you get 3. In my opinion you don't have a valid opinion on a game untill you've played it for a decent amount of time. All mmo's do this, world of warcraft does this, like every other mmo. So you statement of EA being unfair and what not is just pure sillyness, or trolling. .....

Posted 12/25/2011 6:57:02 AMI gues I'll just post this for everytime someone makes this comment. Welcome to p2p MMO's. This has been the standard since its inception. You've actually already paid for that "free month" in the price of the box sale.... SURPRISE!!1!.
ALL MMO's require this when setting up an original account on launch so I'm sorry to say but the only one missing out here is you.
