Posted 12/30/2011 7:57:48 AMI have to say questing wise they def could have done better with more vehicle sections and perhaps more refined combat. Dont get me wrong the game is alot of fun but so far the questing content isnt as fun as wows apart from the story elements. Now as for Flashpoints, beats the crap out of Wow for sure, just did Colicoid Wargames and Taral V and Mealstrom Prison this week, was awesome! I really hope they continue to add puzzle solving elements to their 4 mans and other neat things, perhaps put in interchangable boss mechanics for heroics so not to keep things the same? :)

Posted 12/29/2011 8:00:26 AMHow can people give this game an 80, it is definetly a 90+...... some of those reviews i've been reading annoy me, honestly half of them don't know what they are talking about.

Posted 12/29/2011 2:06:53 PMI can see an 8 out of 10 on this game. Numbers are so relative. To put it another way, that's a 4 out 5. It's a GREAT game, but it's not perfect. There are still a good bit of bugs, it lacks basic guild functionality, and some players can't even progress in their class stories because their characters are bugged. I think an 8 is very reasonable. But, I'm a tough critic. I don't think there is any game (especially an MMO) that's deserved a 10. 9.5 is about as high as I'll go. I just don't believe in the "perfect game." No one game can be all things to all people.
All of that being said, I still think it's a great game, with the potential to become even better as they work out bugs and add new features/content.

Posted 12/29/2011 5:06:41 PMWell to be honest I would have given ToR an 8/10 at first. Now after 2 days and 1/2 of /played I'm leaning toward a 6/10.
As Xavier said it's full of small but very annoying bugs. It's lacking polish. And no being a new MMO is no excuse. Rift did way better.
And the game feels really empty. It's like a single player RPG more than an MMO.
As for story, after a while I started to stop caring. Whatever you choose as your answers has no real impact on the game (except for a meter in your character sheet). In WoW's Wrath of the lich king, the land changed after some quest chains (Icecrown especially). You literally shaped the world! And it was 2008 not 2011! In ToR it's just static, so why bother?
I may sound harsh but it's because I'm truly disappointed. The game has such potential it's maddening to see BW kill it like that. Worse thing is I don't think they realize it has all these problems. They're too focused on content. One dungeon + one raid extension one month after launch when you can't even move UI elements? come on be realistic!
I still want to believe it'll improve but I'm worried.

Posted 12/30/2011 2:38:55 AMit deserves an 8/10 to be honest. Not because of the bugs, though. I mean, every MMO has had many bugs at launch. The reason I think it deserves an 8/10 is because of the lack of things to do. I mean, you can quest, PvP, and PvE and....that's about it. After a while it seems a little too repetitive. Although, the PvE and PvP are great fun!
But...it takes forever to find a group for a flashpoint. I wouldn't mind a flashpoint finder, but most people don't seem to be in favor of that feature. Some people claimed "it ruined WoW" which is a complete over exaggeration. I think it's great, and I would love for SWTOR to add one. So yeah some problems with this game, but also a lot of positive things. It definitely deserves an 8/10.

Posted 12/28/2011 4:31:53 PMThoroughly enjoying it so far. Haven't had this much fun in a mmo in a long time. Doesn't hurt that I enjoy the star wars lore.
