Guild Summit To Include Live Streamed Events

As the recently announced Guild Summit for Star Wars: The Old Republic players quickly approaches, more details are becoming available. An update on the official SWTOR site talks about the end of the application period, the timeframe for responses to those applications, and how people not physically attending the event can still participate via live streams.

BioWareFor those who are unable to attend the Guild Summit for one reason or another, we’re very happy to announce that we will be providing a livestream of select events during the Guild Summit, including developer presentations and feedback discussions. These livestreams will allow players from around the world to observe and participate in some of the event discussions as well.

This summit is definitely a great move, and I hope all the guilds participating arrive ready to offer up comprehensive commentary on the state of the game, as well as advice on how things can be improved. This is an excellent chance to get those suggestions heard by people who are in a position to make said changes.

It's great that Bioware is making an effort to communicate with the larger community. With end-game being limited and some of the hard-core MMO raiders and pvpers getting antsy, Bioware needs to unveil some of their future plans (in addition to what they have shown and said) to give ppl something to look forward to and plan. For my part, I am loving leveling my agent (second toon) and believe that this game has a very bright future.

well, if they can pull this off and keep stuff like this ongoing I will be impressed.  I really dig the game and hope it sticks around for good, but it's stuff like this that will drive the community forward.
