Posted 3/4/2012 10:43:12 PMPvP can go to hell, that is the only thing this game gives two shits about because its the only thing you can do in this POS on a minutes notice. Keep it up George, only focus on the stupid POS stuff that "works as intended" and forget the rest of your pos. Grats on not even mentioning the word crafting on yet another patch... Not one person is crafting anymore, mandalorian iron is going through the roof, and no one is buying jack shit anymore. Once my sub runs out I'm out. Screw this friggin pvp only flavor of the month game run by a bunch of role playing asshats from DeVry; where they teach math that tells you a three second delay is going to make the likelihood of capturing a turret much higher, and that is more important then fixing a broken ass pos game.

Posted 3/12/2012 12:20:31 PMWhy are you blaming this on George? He didn't have anything to do with this other than receiving Royalties. If you have a bone to pick then e-mail the Bioware admins and dev team as they are the ones responsible for anything related to SWTOR.

Posted 3/2/2012 9:59:16 AMAll of you make pretty valid points, but as for nerfing WZ's? I don't think so... IMO this will greatly help the many players that have issues with WZ and bring back those that have dropped their subs.
Civil War:
I had no issues with CW to begin with, but now making it easier to put together a strike team will be awesome. As for the medal cap...I believe this is where it applies the most as many times people will sit at a generator just to get the defender medals. Now, everyone (for the most part) will get the max medal reward giving more motivation to actually win the match.
AFK Timer:
I know a lot of players that suffer from the 60sec timer when they are loading into a Huttball or Voidstar who are kicked simply for missing the sheild drop. I have been kicked a few times as sometimes the lag snags at just that moment and boom you are deported.... what's worse is that you are deported to the fleet so if you are questing on a different planet you have to travel all the way back...annoying!
Medals:
I have mixed emotions about this one...While getting medals for a good player is so easy that its laughable, there are some players that really...don't deserve medals and now they are going to get 500valor and 10comms just for one? Seems a little excessive to me! How about cutting the reward in half? I think that would be a fair compromise and dont max at 4, but push it out to 6 -8. That would seperate the boys from men (sorry girls....girls from women sounds fecetious, but the same for you).
Healers:
I have to applaud this!! I am ecstatic that the healers are going to get more compensation. Some of the best players in the game are healers, I do not play one myself, and they do not get the credit they deserve. I always give my MVP vote to the healer with the most heals so they can get more comms and valor becuase I believe they are undervalued and ripped-off on rewards.
I am a little concerned with the healers getting kills for healed players though.... Is there a time limit to the duration of this effect? or if a healer heals all players for 10 while waiting to start a match and then all thse players get 10 kills, does that give the healer 70 kills? or does it have to be a persistent effect that while they are healing and the player kills someone they get the kill?
DoT's:
I agree with many of you, but have to wonder at the application of this. I think that as long as the player who applied the DoT to interupt the objective cap is alive the DoT should continue to interupt the target. However, if the player that applied is dead, then the interupt effect should die but not the damage.
Skeptics:
For those of you out that are boasting skills...WHO CARES! It does not take a roket scientist to rack up 12 medals if that is your focus, but if you want to be the best at YOUR CLASS, then play your class. A healer heals, tanks tank, and dps.....dps! WOW!!! How complicated is that. If you all play your parts, you are a stronger whole versus a bunch of "hybrids" (as I heard it called earlier). Now the playing field is more even!
Kudos to Bioware!!!

Posted 2/28/2012 5:22:10 PMCan someone check and let us know how many commendations the battlemaster and champ comms cost in wz and merc coms? Was going to buy the mount on my battlemaster, but now I think Ill save up for my battlemaster coms ;)
Overall I think this is a good change. Been doing a lot of solo warzones lately and being put against premades, or simply teamed up with bad players. This will give people incentive to finish the match instead of just bailing when they're losing.

Posted 3/5/2012 9:11:32 AMi can see this. my guild was so pumped for this game, but it's fallen flat on it's face. 1.2 is make or break and the guild summit is more of 'study' to make sure they hit most of the list and make 'promises' for the future.

Posted 2/28/2012 10:33:09 PMDid CocaineRico just say TOR has fallen based on his hypothetical proclamation of TOR going free to play? Let me try:
Cue WoW going free to play. How the mighty have fallen.
Am I doing it right? Did I just make WoW fail like Rico did for TOR?

Posted 2/28/2012 6:21:42 PMI heard BM was 1000/1000 for one token -- could be wrong though.
Champ must be cheap because you can get 7+ with 200/200.

Posted 2/29/2012 11:04:02 AMCorrect as of a few hours ago, the Champion tokens are 120 WZ commendations each (translates to 840 for 7, vs the 800 you needed to do 200/200 for the bag with 7 Champ and 15 Centurion -- so 5% more "expensive" if you are just buying Champion tokens directly vs. saving up for the bags but well worth it if you "just" need a few more Champ tokens for a particular piece).
I haven't got any WZ commendations on my character on the PTS, because there is nowhere near enough a population queueing for warzones there, so I can't test if you can actually buy the Champion commendations pre-50, but it it is permitted it would be a good way of preparing for having a decent PVP set right at 50 (along with buying 1 Champ bag and saving 1000/1000) if levelling purely via warzones.

Oh yes please, so annoying having this glitch out.
>Players can now build credit towards the Battle for Ilum daily and weekly missions by playing Warzones.
Not sure if I like this change. Wouldn't this make people in Ilum even less active there?
>Healers in Warzones now receive kill credit when a healed player kills an enemy.
Oh yes please. :D
>Valor gained from Warzones has been increased.
Could care less but I can see a lot of QQ coming.
>Increased the Warzone AFK timeout from 60 seconds to 90 seconds.
Not sure if I like this. Being afk for a minute in a warzone is bad enough.

Posted 2/29/2012 12:11:01 PMI got kicked once because I started to type something as I respawned after death and missed the barrier going down. I was stuck in the waiting room long enough to hit the timer and I was kicked before the barrier came down again.

Posted 2/28/2012 3:44:24 PMThe reason for it is because a lot of people (myself included) materialize inside the warzone spawn point before we're even done with the loading screen, and we materialize so prematurely that we tend to get kicked mere seconds after the loading screen finally disappears, thanks to the very short afk timer. Made even worse in Huttball with the forcefield.

Posted 2/29/2012 7:57:53 AMYou could also code it to allow newly entering warzone players pass through the blast shields keeping them stuck inside when the match has already started.
