David Hunt explains the stat distribution for offhand lightsabers and offhand shields.
Offhand shields have endgame stats.
David Hunt answers a question about mix and matching PvE mods with PvP gear.
Quote from UrkananWhat happens if I remove the PvE armorings from 1.2 chest and leg pieces, with PvE bonus attached, and put them in my PvP chest and legs “shells” from pre-1.2, which also have the PvP bonus attached?
If you put a set bonus mod in a set bonus shell, the set bonus on the mod replaces the set bonus on the shell. In this case, you would have the PvP appearance with the PvE stats and set bonus.
Cameron Winston clears an issue with the Shock and Project ability tooltips.
Quote from Cameron WinstonHey there,
I’d like to say officially that Shock/Project do in fact deal 25% more damage if you are a Shadow or an Assassin. The tooltip, however, only displays the lower value which is an issue we are working on addressing but cannot at this time.
If you strongly feel that same level/gear’s classes are not dealing this extra damage, please bug this in game with the new combat logs and we can investigate further. However, all the internal testing we have done on this issue confirms solidly that the extra damage is being applied.
David Hunt details the trade in process of updating the current Battlemaster items to the new versions in patch 1.2.
Quote from SaajinDoes the purchase trade in the original Battlemaster item I’m carrying, or does it take those Orange robes that are now equipped with the Battlemaster set Armoring in them?
Quote from Saajin2) Let’s say I’ve got two Battlemaster sets on me. I’m wearing one and carrying the other in my inventory. I go to trade in for War Hero gear.
Georg Zoeller drops another hint about the NVSCCS.
Quote from gramzthe egg is on an 8hr respawn timer.
Quote from Georg ZoellerThere’s more than one…
Georg Zoeller clarifies the difference between Champion gear and the new Recruit gear in patch 1.2.
Quote from pangwlI’m still abit confused…
So can someone clarify for me, what will indeed happen to Champion gears? I mean I thought it’ll just be retained but players won’t be able to get them anymore? Now, I’m seeing/ reading that it’ll automatically be downgraded to Recruit gear ? I thought it was only the BM set that automatically switches over unless the mods/ enchs were modified?
Quote from Georg ZoellerYour existing Champion gear stays Champion gear.
Recruit gear is a separate set of gear that can be acquired for credits in Game Update 1.2.
David Hunt updates the status of a bug on the PTS with companions’ moddable weapons.
Quote from RickRedOneDid I miss a change ? “Kira’s Double-bladed Lightsaber” can have the mod’s changed in Live, but it along with other companion Gear does not have this option in 1.2.
Is this an intended change or a bug?
Does the gear you’re seeing show any stats on it aside from force or tech power? Can you list any other specific companion items where you’re seeing this? There’s a bug (fix coming soon) that results in a number of items on PTS that have no mods on them. Checking Kira’s Double-bladed Lightsaber, I see four mods, all green quality:
Green Color Crystal – L8 +2 End
Hilt – L14 +6 End +4 Will
Mod – L14 +2 End +8 Will
Enhancement – L14 +8 End
