Gabe Amatangelo Talks Ranked Warzones

Following today's maintenance, Principal Lead PvP Designer Gabe Amatangelo posted a short blog posting regarding the Ranked Warzone feature being introduced in update 1.3. In the blog, Gabe explains how the system is setup, how the rankings operate, and goes on to talk a bit about the future of Ranked Warzones.

In the current Game Update 1.3 PTS build, you’ll find a new button in the Warzone queue window: Queue Team Ranked. This button is available to any player that is in a group of eight level 50 players, and allows that group to queue up for Team Ranked Warzones with a single click.

    I'm not a massive PVPer, but when I was on the PTR over the weekend at EU night time (say about 21:00 BST) the fleet was decidedly empty with little in the way of Rank WarZone's popping up. :/

    I managed to get in a group finder flashpoint, but no pvping.

    The SWTOR PTS is a joke. Its dificult to transfer your main overthere, you have to download another 18Gb to login there, and last time a did this my launcher could not update to 1.2, would give me error messages.

    PTS, no thanks BW.

    I agree with you sir. I am not going to PTS because I am still waiting for my character to be transferred to PTS. I do not have time to level a new character on PTS. This is a serious issue. The transfer to PTS should have been easy and should have been programmed from day one.

    They're doing server transfers the same time they're testing ranked pvp... which did bioware think was going to get more player attention?

    "We will not be pushing Team Ranked Warzones to the live game until we have significant PTS testing of the feature. Fortunately, those of you on the Public Test Server can now queue up for Team Ranked Warzones and test this feature out now. Be sure to submit any feedback to our PTS forum here."

    Ranked Warzones is for SWTOR what Bin Laden was for USA. It is a endless pursuit.
