With a little over three months until this year’s GDC Online, the first details on some of the speakers have made their way to the public. While not on the official GDC Online website, Gamasutra has the rundown of the initial panels. In the batch happens to be one on Star Wars: The Old Republic featuring Dave Moore, Senior Director of platform services.
Over in the Production track, Dave Moore, BioWare's senior director of platform services, will explain how he and the studio established a robust and scalable platform for the major MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic.
During the session, "Building the Scalable Platform for SWTOR," Moore will discuss how the studio prepared for the game's launch, sharing the technical details and implementation decisions that helped ensure everything worked once the game went live.
As with all of the events pertaining to SWTOR, expect coverage from us when GDC Online takes place during October 9 through 11. On a side note, the game picked up six nominations from the organizers of the event.
