EA Press Conference at Gamescom

EA and BioWare are at Gamescom and as always, so are we. Throughout the week, we will bring content straight from Gamescom including hands-on impressions of the Ancient Hypergates Warzone and more. Make sure to visit back for more content. To kick off the festivities, EA held their usual press conference that covered Star Wars: The Old Republic. Even though it may not contain any new information on future content, it is worth watching to meet the new General Manager of BioWare Matthew Bromberg. The video embed of the conference is below, the portion you will want to pay attention to starts at 51:34.

Update: From Allison Berryman on the SWTOR forums

Hey everyone, just to be clear on what was said during the presentation - Terror from Beyond, a new Operation, is on its way next month, and we have more content updates coming after it, including the new Warzone and Space Combat Missions. We have lots of exciting new content coming!

its ok guys allison berryman informed us theres more content "coming soon"

That video was the best example of why swtor is dying. Seeemed like they spent hours on all the other games and then its like oh yeah heres swtor btw.

Cant believe how stupid EA is i hope other companys see what ea did to bioware and not sell to them. Just sad

No kidding. Swtor is the most embarrassing game of all time just due to all the money and names attached to it. Things went wrong soon as they decided to go with that trash hero engine and then bioware austin to make it. "Two wrongs don't make a right" as they like to say. I am just so glad every single day that I did not waste my money on the 150 dollar set that I once had my money on but decided to cancel that and go with a standard game. I would be sick permanently with this game instead of just laughing at it with the way it is.

Come on guys... he received some applause...

When he said "Möge die Macht mit dir sein" ("may the force be with you" in German) at the end.

Man..all you people just ruined my fun. With all these negative comments I can't even add any of my own, lol.

I'm gonna continue my sub for a little while till I see how GW2 starts off, but tbh, that dude was a limp dick, he sold NOTHING during that presentation.  I love SWTOR but I can't even defend that shit, nor do I want to.

You can just tell how much EA cares about SWTOR just by watching this presentation it was sad watching this a minute or 2 of stage time and the guy doing it sounded like he was dead on the inside.

Good lord, I almost want to resub so I can cancel all over again. Presenting nothing at all, literally standing there and saying nothing, would have been better and more energizing than that. I feel like they must be filming some kind of The Office- or Parks and Rec- style awkward/funny mocku-com starring the Bioware staff. Jesus.

Canceled both my accounts today ..... hope EA can pull this game out of the black hole its spiraling into but I'm just done!

Reading from an autocue seems easy until you've seen it done poorly.

i always hated that stuff anyways, just get up there and give an honest, inspired pitch.  enough with the canned crap you come off so transparently fake. keep it simple and short.

ROFL AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH THAT WAS THE FUNNIEST VID IVE EVER SEEN FOR THE F2P AT THE END OH MAN LOLZ.

Hey they should have justin and the gamebreaker guys running there with sabers and guns lol. They should put larry everet as smuggler and a chat bubble above his head hahahah.

that video is almost as embarrassng as the nge for swg "almost"

Thats all they have? well not sure ill even bother f2p that was basically the same demo at e3 made me unsub and seeing that glad i did. That f2p video is the new version of this video lol

I cant believe that f2p video though that was hilarious and just looked so bad i guess they cant even afford cinematics anymore even

If you dont bother with F2P over this vidoe does this mean you'll give up playing the site troll? if thats so, i <3 the Video.

As a big fan and huge supporter of this game, I was not happy with that presentation at all.  The last team was doing it better.  The hk preview gave me shivers and this just made me shake my head.  EA should just leave Bioware alone and let them do their thing.
