Gabe Amatangelo happened to be at PAX and Gamebreaker was able to grab him for an interview on Star Wars: The Old Republic. During the interview, Gabe fielded on everything from the layoffs to PvP. The most noteworthy item to come out of the discussion was the mention (like in our recent interview) about a new World PvP Event.
It was one of those last features we tried to tackle before launch, and when you’re launching a major MMO, emergent issues arise and resources had to be pulled from it. It was unfortunate, and we were never able to get Ilum to the design spec that we wanted.
At this point, what we’re wanting to do is an event that revitalizes it. It’ll have something to do with an alien race crash-landing into it, and we’re targeting a January timeframe, which is when update 1.1 happened this last January.
While it may not be new as it was mentioned in our last talk with the developer, it still offers some insight on future content. To see the full interview, head on over to Gamebreaker.

Been playing so much GW2 lately... just makes me wish so much of that stuff was in TOR. It also reveals how bare-bones TOR really is. Makes me sad.

The bull shit excuse the 30 fanboys left over on this game always use "oh you can't expect a new game just released to have all these good features" can be shoved right up their asses, lol. Because gw2 clearly shows if the game is polished properly with a good engine and staff the game can have all the features needed on release day.

GW2 might have some problems and bugs, right of the bat, but they are easy mend imo, hell the trading post is already up and runing, for exemple, how long did we had to wait for having some filters in the galatic trade center? and on the vendors if they already implement that at all? its this things one on top of each other that makes a big diference. Hell they even scrap the Ilum pvpv all together. That alone means something is bad all along.

So don't act like this failed game is all of a sudden some pro game, lol. Sorry I am on a game that actually has all of the content that should be in a game on release day unlike the half assed job that was released for swtor. ;)

And the professions are the same as in every game, lol. You gather and build. What fucking game have you played that made that the most amazing part of your day? The only good thing swtor did have was that companions would do that for you since everyone hates to go out and gather items. Other than that this trash game was a failure wow clone with a 1990's rail shooter for space. And come on, even big as a fan boy as you are, a rail shooter for star wars? LOLOL What the fuck... And yes retard, the game had to be finished before releasing it because that's called a complete and polished game. Not like swtor with it's unfinished KP and months upon months of bugged HM's, delayed ranked pvp matches, lies about open world pvp, and so on. With all that it's a real miracle this game failed so bad that it's under 1 million subs, has 12 us servers only, and is going f2p. But yeah let's keep looking at what a good and polished game is instead and try to insult it. ;) And you wonder why they gave you 30 free days? it's no miracle that they did that when they lost over 400 k people in a matter of 2-3 months. I have no idea how much content or when it will be released for gw2 but considering the trash you're stuck with isn't worth bragging about (which is one thing that made over 1 million people leave) I wouldn't try to insult any other game for the same fact.
