Posted 11/16/2012 12:00:03 AMSorry if this has already been answered, but does anyone know if you will be able to unlock an additional character slot with cartel coins? I'm not seeing it in any of the lists I've seen, but I do remember hearing that free to play players will only have access to two character slots, so I'm wondering if I can access more via cartel coins.

Posted 10/24/2012 5:12:01 PMNotices Sith Inquisitor-esque armor is avaliable for my Sith Jedi Knight that I've RPed as an Imperial Defector....

Drools.....
Words cannot express how much this armor avaliability will enhance my Characters RP within my guild. Now I can finally look like that sith defector that Ive always wanted my character to look like! That and I can now make my trooper have Jedi gear from her Jedi father, only gripe is that this should have been what Inheritance gear was, atleast this system finally does it right. Enough said.

Posted 10/24/2012 5:30:38 PMYour Trooper could already have Jedi gear. Get some JK oranges, strip the mods out, and give them to your Trooper to mod up with Trooper mods and wear. I've seen people all the time with Trooper gear on Jedi, Jedi gear on Troopers, and Sith gear on Agents, and all sorts of combinations. Don't need Cartel Coin stuff to do that. You are already do it.

Posted 10/24/2012 5:33:47 PMLet me put it this way, before 1.5 I could never wear sith gear on my knight. For good reason they are still keeping most of the faction gear (non cartel) class locked, however being able to dress my JK in sith assassin armor from the Cartel makes sense considering I am rping him as an imperial defector and I welcome the change.

Posted 10/24/2012 12:02:59 PMI am a little concerned about "Create a fully featured guild". Does that mean that if I go f2p my guild (I'm the GL) becomes NOT "fully featured"? What goes away? The gbank? That and gchat are just about the only "features" of a guild at the moment anyway. Does unlocking the guild bank access in the shop mean that only Guild Leaders will need to pay for that? Or will everyone who joins the guild need to? And how does that interact with my controls over gbank access?

Posted 10/24/2012 11:37:53 AMI've heard that it is going to cost $65 USD to purchase roughly 500 Cartel Credits. There for this system has been designed to tease or bait our Free to Play users into just paying for their subscriptions, which is fine by me. The crafting materials and color crystals are going to be a problem I will agree, EA should just remove the color crystals as it will really hurt our in game economy regarding Artifice. As to the mats they are offering in the Cartel I would hope they reduce the level of those as well.... For the same reason it will hurt our economy in game and reduce the reasoning to play EOC missions etc.

Posted 10/24/2012 12:24:31 PMI call BS because unless you've made a typo, $65 for 500 coins makes no sense whatsoever.
500 coins would only buy you a couple of weeks of flashpoints, raids or WZs where $15 buys you a month of all of them and a whole lot more.
Someone is just trolling you to make the cash shop sound like a rip off.

Posted 10/25/2012 10:52:29 PMI think you need to move the decimal place left one spot. $6.50 for 500 cartel coins is a fair amount; that comes to something like $15 for the Authorization items.

Posted 10/24/2012 9:03:24 AMThe only thing I'm seeing here that semi worries me is, color crydtals with +41 stats and level 10, 35 ect. This has to be a glitch or something cause it's so bad on so many levels. Low level characters with over the top stats? Can you kmage dual weilding classes?!! Not to mention that artifice is now a complete waste of a crew skill. It's already not very good as it is, but now I will never sell any low level color crystals, cause everyone will buy one from the cartel shop and use it all the way to end game. >:( Please tell me this is a bug or something...

Posted 10/24/2012 10:37:59 AMEven if it is a bug, Bioware is still breaking their promise of no P2W schemes. Offering endgame crystals on their cash shop is exactly that. You're also right about it killing Artifice. Those crystals should have been patterns instead and given a small percentage drop from Cartel packs. Which brings me to another problem with this system. The fact that you can get crafting materials from Cartel packs. It's going to wind up destroying the in-game economy.
It's not a terrible cash shop, by any means. Offering Legacy perks for Cartel Coins is a nice perk. However, I believe those three things are to the detriment of the game itself.

Posted 10/24/2012 2:45:21 PMThis is not P2W. You can get +31 Expertise crystals at that point in the leveling process, and once you hit 50, you can get +41 for pennies on the dollar. So, yes, they may be giving a +20 expertise advantage to people between level 35 and 50, but that's hardly going to be an issue.

Posted 10/24/2012 6:35:23 PMIt's P2W because they're allowing you to buy endgame crystals for money. If they didn't have endgame stats, I wouldn't say anything about it, but they do.
It's also not just Expertise. You can buy any kind of crystal with your preferred stat.
