Preferred Status Players Receiving Two Additional Quickbars

Since the launch of the Free to Play option, a few minor things were changed due to the response of the community. Today, Community Manager Joveth Gonzalez revealed that due to feedback, Preferred Status Players will receive two new Quickbars to use in their journey of Star Wars: The Old Republic.

As you know, we take player feedback very seriously and we wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for being a part of our Free-to-Play transition.

When Game Update 1.5 was on PTS, we heard your feedback and increased Quickbars for Free-to-Play Players, increased Warzones from three to five per week, and reduced the Cartel Coin temporary bind.

We want to let you know that we are constantly listening to you folks, and we’ve heard your feedback regarding limited Quickbars for Preferred Status Players.

This is why, after an upcoming patch that is scheduled for next week, Preferred Status Players will be given two additional Quickbars (for a total of four) that will immediately improve their gameplay experience.

We’ll have more details for you – including information for Preferred Status Players that have already purchased extra Quickbars - once the change goes live.

While I'm on the subject, another harsh restriction is how F2Pers can't post on the official forums. One look at the DH Forums shows many new F2Pers running into technical support problems but can't access the official forums to post about their issues. I love the DH community, but we're not the best at fixing TOR problems. I can easily imagine lots of people trying TOR F2P, running into technical problems(the game has many) and then just quitting when they realize they can't even post on the forums to get help for their problems. At the least the Technical Support forums should be open to posting for F2Pers, and maybe the forum for new players. It would really help confused newbies who either lost in the game(the new players forum) or have technically support problems(Tech Support forums).

Isn't the tech support in-game thing disabled for F2Pers too, or did I imagine that? If so, it needs to opened up along with the rest of the UI, or at least along with opening up posting access to the tech support forums.

I myself have had many tech support issues with the game, so I can sympathize when players run into them and seem to be forced to subscribe just so a GM can help them fix their launcher or game freezing or any one of hundreds of potential issues. There's always complaints of the cash shop forcing you to be buy basic amenities, but at least those don't require you to subscribe. I'm kinda surprised they don't have a cash shop unlock to open up the in-game CS button and (separately) forums access.

What i think they should remove (especially since it cant be removed with coins, only with subscription) is the -30% XP restriction.
Meaning if you play F2P (preferred or not) you earn 30% less XP constantly... this is why there are so many F2P players asking for help with class missions on higher levels (and getting yelled at because of it in general chat)

Next week patch, is it going to be 1.6, or 1.5.1? Anybody knows? I guess 1.5.1, right? Too soon for 1.6

This was the most painful limitation, so should now be doable, at least, to level a character without great groans and moanings. Moanings and Groanings. Whatever.

It's a start, though the way I hear, it's not the only absurd UI limitation F2Pers and Preferreds are subject to that they feel dissatisfied about. Removing all UI limitations seems to be what people expect, with the F2P limitations being gameplay only, like the caps on weekly warzones and flashpoints and such. Gameplay limitations are what people expect and are okay with dealing with as f2pers. Limitations with the user interface of the game is just where it gets frustrating.

Or so I hear from various threads both here and in other places like mmo-champion forums.

    Here here.

Remove all existing UI limitations, and I -might- consider returning to SWTOR as a "Preferred status" player.
