About Cunning... What DOES it DO?

1Different characters have a different primary stat. Advise is to focus opn this prim stat to make your character more effective. Now, I can understand stats like Strength, Willpower, Aim and what they do, how they benefit you. But what does Cunning actually do? As a smuggler you shoot blaster pistols, so I would think Aim should be their prim stat. What does Cunning do for a smuggler that benefits her more than Aim? What is Cunning for?
