Well, to give a little background, I played SWG, City of Heroes, WoW, EVE, Atlanta Online, DC Universe and SWTOR.
I am not going to go deep into other games, but I do want to point out one thing is that, it seems like a lot of the recent MMO has lost creativity.
Sure, I do enjoy the lvling experience some what. But when I learn from my friend that there will be a new Star Wars MMO out, I was excited.
When my friend got invited to beta, I was excited to see how the game looks like. He ran the program, and show me the talent tree..... i was like.... "this is like wow...."
I kind of think about Modern Warfare 3 when I thought about this. Modern Warfare 1, OMG, excellent!! Modern Warfare 2 still excellent!! Modern Warfare 3, while the story is still exciting, there is no innovation whatsoever. Same mechanic, different story. that's the way I feel about SWTOR now. Same mechanic, different theme.
