Calling a spade a spade.

It's time for me to be honest with myself.

For a game in development for so long, I expected more. More innovation, more new concepts. It almost seems like the game was being developed for too long. So long that the concepts outside of story delivery are already old.

I'm not sure if it is amazing that sw:tor was released at the level of the other mmorpg giant or is it a shame that nothing was done outside of story delivery to move the genre forward.

The other game is 7 years old. If BioWare's target was to be at level they did that. Where does that leave the millions of players who where looking for something new?

Development just seems short sighted. The exact same problems that exist in the other game are present here. Problems like-

    Lack of Wpvp,
Stagnant world in which players do not effect
    Simplified talent trees
    Simplified stats
Overall lack of depth in character development

All this being said, I love the feel of my character and the feel of combat. These two things
along with no other games on the horizon for months will keep me playing for awhile.
