I'm playing a gunslinger, and I have been having a blast with it, but I have somehow found a way to get stuck on Nar Shaddaa. I'm level 29 and every quest giver I click on says: "you must complete a quest to do that". I have no more class quests and the only quest I have on Nar Shaddaa is a heroic. Am I missing something? Even the quests on my ship give me the red letters saying "you must complete.." Have I messed up so bad that I have to start all over again?
Hmm. That is the message you normally get when your quest log is full. How many missions have you got from other sources (PvP/FP/Other planets)? Should have counter at bottom list in mission log.
I agree with docgunz, sounds like your quest log is full. As a result, that also means you can't get any datacrons, since I think the process of getting the stat boost from them is that it gives you a quest that completes before the "cutscene" is done(which I learned when a friend couldn't get a datacron with a full quest log).
1. you deleted your class quest while deleting other quests to free your quest log (I don't know at this moment if you can delete your class quest), try to go back to the last npc which you were talking regarding or try to click the holoterminal in your ship
2. you can show/hide quests, is the name "class quest" still visible in your questlog? If yes then click on the +, if not, try the one above
He's a Gunslinger, so there is no Balmorra anywhere near Nar Shaddaa in the leveling range. Maybe Taris then?
Derp myself, ya, I would assume the republic line follows the empire line that after your 'faction planet' you have 2 planets to go in whatever order, for emp it is balmora and nar shadda, and I skipped balmora and had to come back when it was all grey. It gave me a pause after I completed nar shadaa, that I couldn't progress forwards in the story w/o completing the second 'sub arc' on balmorra.

Balmorra and Taris are reversed for Imp and Republic. For Empire, Balmorra is the "third world" (after Dromund Kaas) and then Taris is usually the first planet at the start of Chapter 2. For Republic it's the other way around-- Taris after Coruscant and then Balmorra at the start of Chapter 2. The fact that you get the option, at the start of Chapter 1, to do "either" your "third world" or Nar Shaddaa can throw people off. Truth be told, you can fly straight to Corellia soon as you get your ship; you just won't get far out of the spaceport before you get squashed :P
Yeah, that "option" to go to Nar Shaddaa before Taris/Balmorra is a bit off, since Nar Shaddaa is most definitely higher level. If they were equal level it'd make sense. It's like BioWare knew people were overleveling way too easy, so they accounted for people being able to skip a world. But then, they still require you do your missions on the earlier world, so the illusion of choice there is a waste.
Same happened with a guy from my guild, as imp you have either Balmorra or Nar Shadda but when I told him that you can see the required level for each planet he went back to balmorra. Would make sense to remove these "choices" since you have to do your class quest anyway.

Posted 1/30/2012 8:26:21 AMYou may be like me and skipped balmorra for Nar Shadda. If that is the case, you have to go back to balmorra and finish those up.
