Would really like SOMEONE from bioware (this was a question to Gabe) to clarify and maybe give a little insight on this quote from the german magazine article!
Q: will there be different warzone versions for the different level?
A: no, they will always be the same. Everybody will play in exactly one warzone. That is why matchmaking is very important to us. If ie a team of lvl50 hardcore players are on one side and a rag tag band made up of all level ranges on the other side this group still has a chance to win.
Now, I gather what they are saying, but I am just looking for a more clear answer and maybe some insight as to why this design choice was made, what positives they see in it versus the tiered system that most games have used.
Since there will not be immersion-breaking holiday events (like Sith Warriors collecting roses or hearts on Valentine's; actually, if it were real hearts, that might work), will there be any 'lighter' events or rituals that characters will be able to participate in, or will the world environment be pretty much the same every day of the year?
I don't know if this has been mentioned before but here is my question: Is Bioware planning to deliver us, as bosses (in general, endgame or not), huge "monsters"? Sure, there are rancors and other kind of BIG creatures in the Star Wars universe, but is this game going to fall on the notion that a playable character, even heroic, can stand toe-to-toe against a building-sized monster or robot, without some kind of gimmick (setting explosives, crippling its engines/limbs, support artillery, etc)?
I'm not a know-it-all in the SW universe, but weren't the most hard-fought battles between a great number of troops/people? And if the enemy was just one, wasn't this "boss" about the same size as his opponent/s (with the exception of the rancor and other huge creatures)?
In space combat, will all ships have the same starting stats, or will each class' ship have certain advantages/drawbacks compared to others? Example: Bounty Hunter ship has stronger firepower, but Imperial Agent ship is more maneuverable.
Will we be able to unlock different modes of play for our companions through story choices, like in KOTOR 2 where you could optionally train your companions as Jedi? If so, what sort of play modes would non-Jedi PCs unlock in their companions?
1. Are the developers currently working on content for SWTOR that is not planned to be in the game at launch? If so, what information can you provide about said projects as well as how and when they will be implemented?
2. Will all players have access to character companion archetypes (tank, healer, stealth, DPS, utility, etc.) with the use of kits or will each class only have access to a certain number of character archetypes? Also will each class have access to a large companion (Houk, Wookie, Dashade, etc. and a small companion (ewok, astromech, jawa)?
3. Will players have access to vendor companions that can be accessed on the ship - similar to Sandal and Bodahn?
4. Have you considered adding NPCs to the game world influenced by various personalities from outspoken members of the community? Some examples might be a rodian bounty hunter named Zirak, a powerful sith lord named Darth Trerice, a troig named Musco Samoney, or Senator Guthrie.
Awhile ago James Ohlen mentioned that they were looking into the possibilty of racial abilities or other gameplay differences for the species/backgrounds, has anything changed in this regard? As in are they still testing this or do they know whether or not it will be included by release at this point?
I have a question on what will be released with the game:
1.) I noticed that the composer in the Music of TOR video had a whole book of sheet music that he was working in. Will the sheet music for some songs on the TOR soundtrack be available in a Collector's Edition, or for download on the website?
Then, questions I have always wondered related to the player characters themselves:
2.) Is it confirmed that Sith Pureblood will have hair on their head (maybe someone on these forums can answer this for me :P)?
3.) What is the minimum and maximum amount of letters that can be used in a player name?
4.) Will we be able to customize our characters physical appearance after Character Creation...during gameplay? (haircuts, modify ourselves fatter, give character mustache, etc)
And lastly, here is a question about world content and things to do in the world:
5.) Will there be special literature/book features, such as libraries on Coruscant or Tython where we can access in-game minibooks/information about Old Republic lore?
I hope you ask about the pvp. I am not a fan of war hammers style from the paper stand point of view. I am very discouraged from the facts that they have said with lower levels being buffed to become close to higher levels to perform a balance.
Why did they decide to move away from brackets for levels in warzones?
Can we level up threw the pvp without touching a single quest beyond the point of which we can par take in pvp? An do will we lose out on any abilities that may or may not be gained threw a pve quest line?
Will they have progression pvp gear that is build for pvp specific that isnt good in a pve envirment? -example resiliance on the armor of WoWs pvp armor- An if so can a solo player obtain it threw time an effort?
