I was curious as I didnt do much crafting in the beta,Do the crafting skills like biochem and cybertech and others require your toon to be a certain level?
What I was thinking of doing is having my main have like scavenging, slicing and underworld trading then an alt as cybertech and armormech.Or am I gonna need to lvl that alt? I will eventually lvl him but just curious if this would work until then.
Edit:I know I will need to get the alt to lvl 10-15,but that isnt hard.
From what I can remember, there was no level minimum for the gathering and crafting ("assembling," if you will) professions. But there *were* character level minimums for the mission skills professions. If that stays the same at launch, then your plan should work out.
However, one thing to note is that it appears that at level 50, the top-of-the-line items that a given crafting profession can craft are BoP. Which means you won't be able to make it on a crafting alt and give it to your main. You'll be able to make a slightly-lower-quality item that is BoE and you can transfer to your main, but it won't be the best item possible.
There is no minimum level for crafting. You could potentially have a level ~6ish (You have to have your first companion to craft) character with 400 crafting skills. Just remember though, crafting takes time, and the more companions you have the more items you can craft in a given amount of time. So a max level character with all 6 companions will be able to level crafting much much faster than a character with only 1.
