My sub is active and I haven't received any PMs or emails telling me I've been temp-banned or anything.
While it's a terrible way to make people find out rather than giving an appropriate splash page, if you look at their twitter they posted the website is "down" for maintenance. Anything relating to accounts doesn't seem to work.
I have a similar issue. I was just able to login to the SWTOR site, but got stuck in traffic again when trying to go to forums. I tried logging into the game, only to keep getting the message "There is currently no active subscription on this account" despite having put in the activation code Tuesday morning. So I'm guessing there are some issues that need to be worked out.
You have to choose a subscription and enter a valid credit card, paypal, or use a prepaid card before you can activate your account. Entering your product code is not good enough.
What's ticking me off is that there are security questions associated with my account that I never set up. So now I can't activate my account with a retail key because I have no idea what the answers are to the security questions that I never set up.
On top of that, customer service is being so hammered right now that I haven't even been able to reach them by phone for the past 4 hours. And you can only reset your security questions by calling CS.

Gamorrean ThugThe forums are currently read-only as we attempt to help manage the load on the website. We'll bring them back up ASAP.

Nerf HerderSame thing for me.
My subscribtion is active (however, EA is not billing me and their support is not helping me). I've tried to write here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=227013 but, received

No emails were sent to me from EA.
