Thanks for the Trooper tip... I'm Imperial, obviously =P
I mentioned the availability of better Armoring through dailies, and thus advised against creating them at end game, in my post. Better Mods are likewise available as rewards for daily heroic quests, and thus also available, though to a lesser degree since you can't purchase them with commendations.
By any chance have you crit any artifact mod crafts? Just wondering if this possible.
None of my mods or armoring have crit. Droid parts and earpieces can crit, but from what I've seen to date, armoring, mods, ship parts and grenades cannot crit. I now have all max level artifact mod and armoring schematics, and have never seen them crit.
Due to vastly differing feedback levels, I am now maintaining this guide on the swtor forums, as stated in the original post. Feedback left in either location will be responded to, though I will likely respond quicker to that left on the swtor forums.
While we're on that, I wonder what BW will use for future tier names. Columi, Tionese, Rakata, all powerful pre-Republic civilizations. There's a list of maybe half a dozen powerful pre-Republic races, but those will run out quick. Something like Celestial tier would seem like something for the last tier ever. Unless BW is going to keep Tionese/Columi/Rakata for years to come. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding how the tiers work for heirarchy.
Yes, you can crit on columni crafted earpieces. I've killed all but Jarg/Sorno & Soa in Nightmare, and have yet to see a schematic for anything better than columni.
thanks a lot!
Also... did you ever crit on a "low" companion mission and got a craft schematic out of it? I just recently started a list of mission I get schematics since I would like to collect as many as there are. Also do companion gift missions drop schematics?
(in case "low" is not clear, for example, on the very first companion mission tier in underworld trading I have for metal some which are 6min, others are 8. Therefore I would name the one "low" and the other one "high"...)
@RogueJedi I allow Bioware to use my amazing legacy name which would be "Eneri" :)
