Hopefully they'll announce something new. I know their chief lore guy quit BW, but I would really like to see and expansion to the lore and storylines of all the various characters. I still have plenty on my plate with only having completed 2 of the 8 Stories, but still I would like to see an expansion soon. Thanks for the reply.
There's an entire galaxy with at least 4,000 worlds to choose from(per The Essential Atlas' index). There's nearly infinite potential for an expansion. I would love to see any number of worlds brought into the fray, like Myrkr or Dantooine or Dathomir or Ossus or Onderon or Ziost or any one of literally THOUSANDS of other worlds.
Ziost fills the trio of Sith Throneworlds of which we have 2 in-game already. I'm trying to remember the significance of Ziost(Korriban the spiritual/Sith capital, DK the political capital), maybe as some mix of the two. But I could see it easily fitting into post-release storylines, especially the Imperial side.
*spoilers for end-game state of the Empire*
Given the repercussions of the death of the Emperor's body and the aftermath of Malgus' failed coup, the Empire has to be divided. The splintered groups could converge on Ziost in an attempt to unify the Empire in the name of their faction. Like a modified form of the post-RotJ Warlordism the Galactic Empire's splinters engaged in. Then toss in the Republic trying to keep the Empire divided, and you have a very interesting 3- or 4- or more- way battle on Ziost.
Thus why I said the Emperor's body. His Voice, a body he possessed, I was just being creative with wording. The implication in the body's death being that it keeps the MIA for a while, in a manner I'd assume is similar in length and logistics to Palpatine's spirit taking a few years to get to Byss to inhabit a clone body. Plus most people outside the Emperor's inner circle wouldn't know that only a part of the Emperor was dead. They'd assume his whole self died and go to war for the scraps of the Emperor. Or they know only his body/Voice died and are trying to take over the Empire before the Emperor can come back and mess things things up for them.
This all dovetails into the idea of Ziost being a three or four way battle. :)
All very good ideas. I was thinking about another independent antagonist that has it out not just for the Republic but the Empire as well. What about the entity Abeloth that is trapped in the Maw Cluster? Or the World Razer? Or even the Yzon-Vhong? All of them have ambitions for galactic domination. But there are just so many to choose from it makes your head want to explode :P
I've always been fond of the Yuuzhan Vong, and wouldn't hate a Vong scout force showing up, similar to the encounter Canderous described in KotOR, but with foot soldiers to fight.
I don't remember the Canderous encounter but I remember that the Vong were originally from this Galaxy/Universe and they could use the as a reason why they went on the great expedition. I'm also kind of suprised they haven't used Centerpoint Station as a Operation involving the Dread Masters
