so about 2 weeks ago i was a subscriber. i bought the account-wide unlock "crew skill assignment (account)" on the gtn for 250k creds in anticipation of my upcoming switch to preferred status. but it was broken.
i had the same problem described here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=586306 . the item is broken because of an update that made these unlock items unstackable, and so many of these unlocks people had were set to an invalid state. they are worthless, but still able to be sold on the gtn. but unsuspecting buyers like myself are unable to use them. you can see the broken ones since they will show "quantity: 1" on them. wish i knew that before i bought it ofcourse.
so i send a ticket about it. time passes. a week passes (at the very least, might even have been close to 2 weeks, though i am now unsure of the exact date i made the post), and on the 16 of march my account transfers to preferred status. i decided just now to check if there was an update on my ticket. nope. it was deleted. and since i had transferred to preferred i could not make a new one. nor can i post on the forums about it (this is why i am posting here :) ).
the bug issue isn't what bugs me anymore. it's that i sent a ticket as a subscriber, but because of Biowares snail-slow response time i didn't get a resolvement for my issue, and now i won't unless i subscribe again (end even then maybe i won't). i have to say this feels unfair to me, but maybe people here feel different. what say ye?
I bought Legacy Travel 1-2-3 which gives you the rocket boots sprint like ability. When I tried looking for it in the abilities window it wasn't there under any tab. It's isn't under vehicles or the legacy tab and I even made sure to check the other tabs just in case. I told a friend of mine and he said he had a similar issue when he bought his where it wasn't in his abilities but it was put on his action bar. So I checked my action bars, even the ones that I wasn't displaying, and couldn't find it on those either. So now I have a ticket which is 2 days old at the time of this post.
I don't think Bioware handles the support tickets I think it might be EA. If it is EA I guess it makes more sense since their customer service is the worst in the industry. A little off topic but I host a Battlefield Heroes server which went down for a few days because EA released a patch and once my server provider had updated everything they found out that apparently EA didn't whitelist a bunch of the servers and didn't get resolve the issue for several days costing my server provider money for having to reimburse customers like myself. Also after having talked to my server providers tech supports it was apparent that EA has a bad history with them.
EA needs to get their crap together. I mean they've been voted worst company in America and now this whole Simcity debacle... I heard a CEO or something stepped down after that.
well i can tell from the tickets i have sent in over the last year that response time is usually about a week. i 've had 2 tickets that have been removed with no explanation or any kind of response. and they were serious issues, not some bullshit thing like which i could fix by myself. it's just so disrespectful. i dunno what's going on over there but it seems like getting a response from those people is like game of roulette. random shit. although i wonder if they are undermanned over there. they're probably underpaid as well. and have no job security, living in fear of being replaced every day, being whipped by their slavemasters. the poor sods. :/
btw when i bought the rocket boost ability it showed up under the vehicles tab, so that's a bug.
i hope EA and Activision and the rest of those corporate profitworshippers go bankrupt and from the ashes rises something new and more consumer friendly.
