Hey everyone, I need some clarification on crew skills since I think something is bugged on my account and for some reason I can't even post on the Customer Service forum on the SWtoR website even though I'm a preferred player... meh.
Anyhows, on the features list it mentions preferred players get 2 crew skills once they make a purchase; the problem is I have these 2 crew skills but the third is still locked even though I used the crew skill unlock item from the preferred bundle. My question is what's going on? Should I have 3 crew skills or I'm I limited to two?
I don't have experience with your particular situation, so it's entirely possible that you've encountered a loophole such that your total crew skill count is not preferred +1 = 3 but rather what you had before + 1 = 2; preferred is two so no increase.
However. I've experienced the preferred --> subscriber shift, so I can tell you that the game doesn't automatically unlock the additional skill once you've set your active skill(s) as a f2p/preferred player. Instead, it continues to display a third skill as locked. To unlock it, you just have to try to use it, which will prompt the game to do a little internal check to see what number of skills your character is allowed and bring up the 'active skills' dialogue. Ergo, if you try to train a third skill, it should let you. If not.... :/
As an aside, the unlock may be for a single character rather than account-wide, so is it possible that you have three skills available on just one character?
Well I only have the one character so that's not the issue. I've tried training Diplomacy alongside Biochem and Bioanalysis but it says either I'm trying to learn 2 crafting professions (which I'm not) or that I need to buy the crew skill slot unlock with Cartel Coins - even though I already bought one in the bundle. All the other unlocks in the bundle worked, including legacy titles, character titles and unify colours. Not too happy with this at the moment considering I feel ripped off out of a crew skill and being told I need to fork over more cash; not to mention NO indicator from BioWare as to where I can get customer support help. :x
Thanks for the responses guys, if anyone has any info it'd be much appreciated.
