When I go to play swtor I click the game, and then it pops "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer". I click yes and then nothing pops up. I am using windows 8 by the way.
Than you the launcher popped up, but I have another problem. When I log in it says there is a problem with your account, please check your email. I went to my email and couldn't find anything. I've changed my password and that didn't work. I'm confused.
I would recommend calling them via phone if you're able. I'll post the bit from the website about CS. The link can be found here.
If you need assistance with your account, encounter a problem while making a payment, or are unable to log in to the game the best course of action is to contact our Customer Service team over the phone. You can contact our team for the price of a local call by calling the numbers listed below:
UK: (0203) 0141 826
Germany: (0221) 8282 9212 (Phone support available from 13.00 CET - 01.00 CET)
France: (048) 168 1051 (Phone support available from 13.00 CET - 01.00 CET)
I called them and turns out my account got hacked by someone in korea that put a credit card on my account but stopped making payments so my account was canceled. My launcher keeps say that its being updated, and its been going on for about 10 and a half hours. I didn't know if this was a problem or a result of me not playing in awhile?
Depending on your internet download speed, it can take a long while to update the client; It shouldn't really take that long, but as long as the progress bar is filling up you'll just have to wait it out. Let me know in about a day or so if it hasn't updated yet and I'll look into it for you.
If the game does not proceed, please check the following. If there a 'Patch' folder in your installation directory, please try deleting the 'Patch' folder and running the Fixlauncher.exe file located in the installation directory.
You should also check that your Java is up to date.
Please also see here for other common solutions to launcher issues.
If the problem persists, could you please post your Dxdiag report here. To get your DXDiag report, please follow these instructions:
Press the [Windows] Key + [R] at the same time. (The [Windows] key is the key with the Windows icon on it)
Type in ‘DxDiag’ and press ‘OK’.
This will open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool box.
At the bottom of the box is a ‘Save All information’ button. Press it.
This will open a ‘Save As’ box. Please ensure the text file is named ‘DxDiag’.
Save this to your desktop.
Open the saved file, hit Ctrl+A (select all), and then Ctrl+C (copy).
Paste that information at the bottom of your post. Please use code or spoiler tags. If you don’t use these then your DXDiag will fill up the page making it hard to navigate your thread.
