I have a quick question, its regarding the End Game Loot System. So there is 3 leveles of hardness, Normal/Hardmode/Nightmare Mode. from what I understand (Correct me if wrong) Normal Mode all members of the Operations team will get a loot bag.
In Hard and nightmare its suppose to be either Group Loot or Master Looter. and Loot is to be divided up equally. My main question is, is there any ingame system that helps keep track of such information like whos gotten Loot prior, how often they come? like a ingame DKP system.
If not, What seems to be the most popular talked about End Game Guild Loot system?
I'm not sure which system is most popular, but there is no in-game loot management system. It's up to the members of the group to decide who gets what.
Not even WoW has an end game loot system, though. It's up to the members of the guild themselves to maintain DKP - yes, there are some mods out there that keep track of that, but most of the time people just use websites and guild officers to maintain them.
In regards to this, how do you turn off this shit that automatically assigns people loot? I've had a DPS Helm as a tank, twice now, and I should point out that I already even had that helm from doing a flashpoint, however, the other Troopers in the raid are running around with orange/blue items and it doesn't get assigned to them, so because of this, we're just wasting loot. I also got another copy of the gun I already have. All of these would have been upgrades for others.
It seems it does this on Group Loot or ML, and quite frankly it's fucking retarded. Anyone know how to switch it off? Is it only like this for normal mode?
I remember there being said about getting loot bags, and everyone gets something, but so far, this simply isn't true - half the raid gets something. If you're unlucky like my Girlfriend, you get nothing the entire run, while others get duplicates of items they already have, and even duplicates of the same item in the same run, with no regard for if you are a Tank or DPS.
Yes, it is annoying not having control over who gets what, but even if you get double pieces, you can offset or rip the mods out to stick them in other gear.
We FFA'd in order to avoid the chest loot bug, and stuck with that ever since.

So this is a bug and does not work as intended or was there any logical thought behind this random system by Bioware? I ask because I think everybody is fed up with it and there was no chance which I think wouldn't be soo difficult since it's working on hard/ nightmare, so I kept asking myself why Bioware wouldn't fix it finally.
Last night my group was having to a retard version of 'pick a number between x and y.'
I can heartily recommend http://rolz.org/ <- Your Opsgroup/guild can even make a (chat)room that has a log that lasts for a long time. All without registering.

Normal mode loot being server-distro'd isn't a bug. It's there, as intended, to prevent random pug ops-groups from being scammed by an unscroupulous opsleader. This is because normal mode ops in SWTOR apparently is deemed somewhat similar to RaidFinder difficulty in WoW where you can't turn on MasterLooter either.
Yes, it's sad that when you set foot into an Operation for the first time, loot is sometimes really ending up in the wrong places, but the choice has been made.
If you want to control loot, do Hard Modes.. they're really not THAT hard, promise :)

Posted 1/10/2012 9:07:47 AMAny thoughts on the best system?
Since theres no addons, everything will have to be manually updated and edited, anyone have any thoughts which seems to be the best direction to go?

Posted 1/10/2012 1:52:31 PMIn NORMAL mode there's no way to turn it off. And yes, it's annoyingly shitty.
In HARDMODE and NIGHTMARE you can turn it off, however. Just make sure Round Robin is off and turn on either Master Looter or Free For All.
