Just listened to latest podcast, I am sorry half your squad can't see 3D good, it is a drawback to the tech indeed.
Just wanted to correct some stuff, one of your podcasters said how the Samsungs from 2007/2008 are still their best 2d models, and while this is true for 2D only sets, basically every generation their 3D TV's still do 2D better and better. So if you have zero interest in 3d, you might as well buy that 2008 set for $400 or whatever theyre at. They basically just stopped releasing 2d only TV's, cause 3d capable sets are getting too about the same price now anyways.
I hope Swtor is fully supported for 3D, but even if it's not I guess nvidia has this upscaling tech, that people are saying is really good even in Wow and some other MMOs. I don't know about this, I know that L.A. Noire is going to be fully supporting a 3D mode when it gets released for PC.
I have a 3D samsung plasma from this year, only cost me $950, and I spent $1200 3 years ago on a 2d plasma that is now outclassed. Wanted to correct one of the podcasters who said you have to be facing the TV right on to see the effect, that is only true for passive LG 3dtvs where the glasses arent active shutter. I can move all around my TV room and watch from all different angles and heights and see the full effect just fine. Just don't ever buy LG anything is a good rule.
