Apparently I'm not keeping up as much as I thought.. Yes, I know about redeeming my preorder code.. read about the giveaway beta codes that had to be entered on the code redemption screen.. But, how many other types of codes are they going to have.. The only "non" SWTOR code that I have seen any kind of marketing for (and I barely noticed it) was on the preorder screen for the Razer peripherials.. Just a custom green crystal, given for preordering the razer products - with a listed 1/6/12 expected ship-date last time I looked :(
I think it was STO that had something like 7 or 8 different "unlock" codes around launch.. Different perks for ordering from different vendors.. Even had a special code you got for buying something at Del Taco (sp? East Coaster, so no clue)..
I haven't seen anything other than your pre order code. Wisely, Bioware went with perks on the level that you pre order, not from where you ordered from.
Cryptic went with different perks from where you purchased your pre order, whether it was Wal-mart, Best-buy, gamestop, online, mostly uniforms and ship skins. And yes there was even a redeemable code from Del Taco, I had an American WoW buddy go and get me a Shuttle code since Del Taco doesn't exist in Canada. I played STO for 6 weeks... such a trainwreck!
All the way down at the bottom.. I need a new headset, might have to order a set of the Razers so I get that crystal along with my game pre-order crystal..
Rift did the same thing with their weapon crystals. Depending on where you pre-oredered them at is what color(element) your weapons could have on it for an hour at a time. I haven't seen anything like that from BW/EA/LA besides the one color crystal. When something as huge as this game is or anything else in mainstream America hits, I will always go with the official providers, anything else from anyone else is subject to asshatery and most times will be a scam.

Posted 12/12/2011 7:54:29 PMultimately while it MIGHT look decent it will not have a stat on it good enough to use more tehn the first few levels.
In MMOs stats unfortunatly trump looks
