Sith assasssin was inspired on Darth Maul so say the Devs. Asaji Ventress is an assassin i guess, but in game would be a marauder, Mace Windu was Jedi knight.
But keep in mind In the Old republic things were organized a bit diferent. And its a game, they created this classes for balance porpuse.

IA Operative - got nothing IA Sniper - still nothing
Keep in mind that these are archetypes of general look and feel of the character and the correlations have nothing to do with what the canonical characters themselves are supposed to be and be capable of, in universe.

Sentinel was built after Mace Windu according to a dev video (if you look back in lore he used 2 sabers for a long time a blue one, the first one he made, then he added his purple)
The Imperial Agens were based of Grand Moff Tarkins lore. He was the imperial boss on the first Death Star
I would put Kas'im into Sith Marauder, the epitome of martial skill and lightsaber technique.
And while I don't want to mention her, Asohka Tano seems to embody the Sentinel. Not so much for the martial focus though. A more appealing image comes in the form of Luminara Unduli.
Troopers... well not so much any one, as an entire army. Obvious connection to the Clone Troopers.
Just because they are in this game does not mean they have a "movie" counterpart.... This is nearly 3700 years before Anakin knocked up Padme...
They were different times. Hell its 300 Years after Bastila Shan and she was a Sentinel of that time and the Sentinel in TOR is 100% different.
I still find it off they made jedi Romances dark sided... seeing how Bastila married Reven and pop out a kid... Even Satile Shan the current Master of teh Order has a son.
I guess they should have included passionless romances for Jedi for LS. Those have been allowed a few times, like after the Jedi Civil War (hence why it was ok for Bastila and Revan to do their thing, though theirs must have been dark sided due to having passion).

the council did not like the 2 of them knicking boots... it was no "ok" with them they allowed it because of who they were.
Ventress is an Assassin. Her weapon actually was a dual-bladed lightsaber in the Clone Wars animated movie made to begin the TCW series. It was one designed to split into two separate lightsabers. That function gets damaged and she just uses them separately from then on.
BioWare devs attribute Consular to Obi-Wan. As for Trooper classes, just look at Rex and some of the other Clones in TCW. Jedi Guardian may be more like Kit Fisto.
As far as I know, Satele distanced herself from her son immediately after his birth, to the point that she didn't recognize an adult Theron when they met in "The Lost Suns" comic. Damn Jedi Code. Jedi are allowed to married, but only if they show they don't put their love above all else in the universe, like their duty.
The devs have described Agent as a mix of Zam Wesseel and Wilhuff Tarkin.

Jedi Guardian is made after Anakin and Obi-won... the tank tree is inspired by Obi-won thus using Soresu the defensive form, and Anakin used Shien (the djem so variant)
yet another case of someone having no idea what the hell they are talking about.
I know Bastila is a Sentinal, Ventress is an Assassin, and so on. The list I posted is what the Devs seem to have been using for how a character of that class would look and 'feel' fighting. That the Marauder looks and plays a bit like Asajj Ventress doesn't mean Ventress was a Marauder or that the Marauder class will have the same or similar abilities to Ventress, just that when they fight the style looks like how Ventress fights, nothing more, nothing less.

Bastila is a Sentinel in terms of her Jedi specialisation (Guardian, Sentinel, or Consular). TOR doesn't quite follow lore in that respect. They made the Sentinel seem more lightsabre-focused than it actually is. Also, Jedi Shadows are Sentinel specialisations, not Consular specialisations.
As mentioned by other posters above, the TOR classes weren't really based off of Star Wars characters. I think that they could have been chosen better, but that is quite far in the past now. I'll still regard my Shadow as a Sentinel and continue to use a yellow blade to display that :)
