Wow, there now literally just giving you gear. What's next, "you started a new character. Here's a full set of Columi that is now usable at level 1." Does anyone actually believe in working for rewards in games anymore. God, I'm starting to sound like an elitist jerk now.

posted a message on so not only are ranged dps and casters in this game easier to play then meleePosted in: Endgame PvE
I played World of Warcraft for years as a rogue and encountered the same issue. It's just something you gotta deal with as a melee player. One of the reasons my second character in SWTOR was a ranged dps. If I'm having trouble finding a group with my Jedi Sentinel then I hop on my Sith Sorcerer and try with him.

Amazon has been sold out for a long time. Most big internet retailers probably are. Best bet is to look at smaller sites or in-store. I've been in your sitiuation before. I remember for the CE for WoW: Burning Crusade I looked all over trying to find a site that had some. Luckily I read a post on a forum, I think Gamefaqs, that Circuit City's site had some. So I suggest you do some searching over the net if you're serious about getting the CE.

Items should go to the person it's an upgrade for "as is" without taking into account any modding or whatever. A similar problem popped up in WoW when reforging was introduced. People would take gear that was obviously more suitable for someone else cause they could reforge the stats. I got screwed over a few times by that. It's one of the downfalls of a system like this. Every great game system has one that jackasses exploit.

I was surprised by the size as well. The client I was using for the beta was like 30+ gigs. When I re-downloaded it was only 18.4.

In the short time that I had to play in Beta....I enjoyed playing the Consular the most. I'm actually pretty upset about liking it as much cause I really wanted this to be my main but hate the species options for launch. I'm hoping, based on speculation and rumors, that the legacy system will unlock different species. I know this is off topic but I just can't get over the lack of playable races. We have Twileks and different kinds of humans....blind humans, blue humans, green humans, humans with horns and humans with cybernetic implants. I WANT MY TOGRUTA CONSULAR!!!!!
On a side note...I did think that the BH story was the most intriguing to start.
I so feel ya on that dude. I want a Togruta Consular as well. Along with a Nautalon Smuggler and a Cathar Trooper.

I like these rules. In WoW I would cringe everytime some unimaginative idiot would use a name like Legolas or Sepitroth. Just felt like yelling at them "you are not playing as them and they don't exist in this universe you dork". Lets hope they actually enforce these rules.

I played a little bit of all the classes but I played the Jedi Knight Sentiel the most. It's what I plan on rolling in the full game. I love whacking things with lightsabers. So fun especially with the great sound effects. It is a surprise to see all the non-force user love. Figured everyone would be geeking over the Jedi and Sith. Although the non-force classes are fun and have their own appeal. Bioware did a good job making all the classes interesting. Even something that sounds boring like the Trooper.
