    In my honest opinion, ANY game (especially MMOs) should be made for 64bit computers. Any computer manufactured in the past... 5 years (possibly more), has a 64bit processor, and anyone running at 4GB (or more) of RAM, would be foolish to be running 32bit OS.

    "32bit game for maximum compatibility", sure if you want to use that excuse. Let's take a look at the games system requirements (from it's Wikipedia entry);

    Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4000 or better / Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2.0 Ghz or better

    Guess what? BOTH of those alternatives are 64bit processors. There is literally NO excuse to have built the game for 32bit, when you put 64bit hardware as a REQUIREMENT to run the damn game. No amount of optimization on their end, will ever solve the underlying problem, if they continue to limit themselves to 32bit maximum.

    Here here.

    Remove all existing UI limitations, and I -might- consider returning to SWTOR as a "Preferred status" player.

    SWTOR going F2P is to be expected. Subscription-based MMOs are going the way of the Dodo. There's a much larger market for getting customers through F2P. I think WoW might be among the few who still relies on subscriptions.

    Might have to hit "Refresh" to see a current server status page. I know my browser tends to bug out, whenever the server has been down for maintenance. Refreshing usually fixes that.

    The comment about the game beeing up well before it's planned time does not apply to European servers I guess ?

    Or is it only me that can't start the game yet ?

    I'm a European player, and I logged into my server the moment I read the servers were back online (via Twitter). The post was made at 1:10 PM CET. Maintenance was scheduled to last until 4:00 PM CET.

    So yes, it appears you may be in the minority, since my client works fine, and my server is online.

    It should be noted, that both the game servers, and the SWTOR.com site itself, was online well ahead of it's planned 8 hour maintenance window.

    And... servers are back online.

    Well ahead of the 8 hour maintenance window.

    EDIT: Apparently 1.1.5a was deployed to the live servers. A minor patch, which fixes an issue with one of the Smuggler companions, and an Imperial mission. Hoarding the good stuff for 1.2 I suppose :)

    There isn't any patch today. Just because it's maintenance, doesn't automatically mean there's a patch.

    Also, just because it's an 8 hour maintenance window, doesn't mean that the servers will be down for the full 8 hours. There's been a few times where the servers were back online several hours in advance.

    Would love it if someone can ask the following...

    Question: What sort of updates to the "Social" and "Guild" page UIs will be forthcoming in the 1.2 patch? Ability to invite/whisper guildmates for example, adding offline friends etc.
