i think its obvious that the illum missions will be open again. Which for me is good since i have time now, and not before. I only reached half a rank i think. I want to get that nifty vehicle, and suit. And possibly in this life time, that weapon if there are enough ways to get that helix component.

For pvp, they need to balance it more and then add more to what already exists. I say this because, I believe that they have the maps on random rotation so people learn less to exploit the maps, or form perfect teams for certain maps. Which is why balance should be better considered. Sometimes in pvp, nothing is happening on the oppsing team, since they have heals, shields and a bunch of other unclear reasons for them to take no damage. That feels very unrewarding, and is literally just like pvping on a training dummy that never dies.

So for pvp they can balance, add more map variation, and the ability for us to choose which maps. I still like Huttball the most. I do not feel like playing other maps, and going to some other map randomly really sours the pvp exp.

At this point, they have enough WZ, they just need more maps for the existing ones. Well, I guess they could add more sport WZ's. That would be fun, but I think  as far as sports goes, Huttball works well as a WZ. Anything else, and it might as well be a different mode of huttball... for example having to pass the ball every 3 secs as if it were tennis/badminton or other modes are possible.

But what they dont have is large scale battles that can have forts. Or duel areans with tournament modes with gambling... that would be fun for RPing BHs. Or maybe adding something in the open world that is persistent including moving NPCs, certain exclusive resources in certain areas that tie in to a large reward as well. Or a WZ like duel arenas that includes companions. Or a WZ that gives people perfect gear, and there are no differences, and the game scales with achievements in the instance similar to MOBAs or DOTA. I think the last idea would be cool, and maybe making it unique by allowing people to control points on the instance/map that has benefits or NPCs that can be controlled. For example NPCs can have thier path directed in a certain way or told to guard a certain area, to help heroes fall back. Except something like this should be added after the expected pvp content is in, such as large scale battles.

Its not really random if there is a certin sequence and timing makes a difference.

For example the random generator will put a group first into WZ 1 then WZ2 , WZ3, Wz4, WZ5.

So if a person qued at a certain time they might end up in the same warzone based on the time they qued rather than the chance. Then it would make sense as to why the chance is more for others.

Since the chance is not based on which WZ we que to, but which one is in sequence and when we que.

The ques can be long enough, but at prime time, if they sequenced their random que to be actual random by the que and not by time, then it would be better.

    Doing your job for you.

they used an engine that is not optimized for video cards. We need BW to make a video card specifically designed to run swtor.

Or they could optimize the engine and redistribute it with a new engine over haul. It makes sense since in the long run all these temp fixes will amount to making the right decision from the get go of engine development and optimizing it for nividia and MMO demands in general.

However, I do have some issues and I have 24 gigs of ram with 2 - 580s. I Also run a special fix for SLI to avoid crashing when SLI was not compatible with swtor before... and yea... i got some video lag and its most noticeable in WZs.

Really, ridiculous as it sounds, and as frustrating as it is... they need to over haul the engine. Other devs do this. They are hurting the development of their game. They wont be able to add large scale pvp, and they wont be able to have dynamic events. Those are the missing things that add replay-ability to their game. Without that, its a very stale world and the only thing holding it together is the same nice combat system, VO and cinematics  and story content. However, those main 3 things are not what make MMOs successful, or at least for me enjoyable in the long run.

yea except for those who used slicing missions to get the incorrect amount of thermal regulators could have lost a lot of mats... and I am guessing its not going to be retro actively fixed.

They are selling at peak around 100k. and I am guessing the normal amount is more than one per slicing mission. So that is at least 100k lost per slicing mission, and it could be more.

    I am dissapoint.

In fact, they should keep it as it is, and up the stats for the augments. I think the stats for augment 28 is too low compared to lvl 49 augments, and getting the mats now to craft augments and mk-9 kits requires collecting the mats physically and not using scavenging missions. So, if that is the case, then they should make it way more worth while to get those mats... or people will stick with mk-6 and the price for that will go up due to inflation of people making more money in the game... so for lvl 50s, a part of thier economy will be negatively impacted due mats for mk-9, and augments requiring physical labor to get mats for little benefit... thus making mk-6 and augments at lvl 49 more valueable - a bigger bang for the 'credit' than the mk-9 and augment 28.

new pvp maps would be nice, but I would be more interested in new mechanics rather than more maps or similar maps.

Open world pvp in a themepark will always be 'dead', its just making the best of it, and hopefully other aspects make up for it such as the story, pve, raids/fps etc

As for the incentive... well, I am not sure... before it was the class story, and at end game it was to complete challenges of ops... so things are changing, and maybe Ill take a break after doing the exp at least once until the SSSP is released or pazaak/swoop racing...

    Thnx for all the info.

I would like to know how long it takes to get from lvl 50-55.

I heard doing just quests it takes a person to lvl 53, and people have to do dailies and collection activities to get to lvl 55.

So if any clarification and how many hours are needed would be cool to know. thx

    I like all your ideas.

Except removing hutt ball. Maybe its strange to have hutt ball as a pvp war zone, but its still a fun map.

Therefore things like hutt ball should be more of a mini game rather than a war zone. And a mini game should allow for player created content to create maps for it, set up their own tournaments and rewards for the mini game, and gambling.

So my perspective would be, if I were to agree with you, then make it into something else completely, and hutt ball would not be a warzone but a mini game that allowed for many other things as well.

Also other mini games would be swoop racing and pazaak. Goes without saying when mentioning mini games and swtor at this point considering the demand for these things and still the lack of development for them.
