I dont have any hope for SWTOR, didnt have any since January 2012 to be honest. Every patch, every add to the game is just a mashup of old things (new space missions are reskined old ones, clothes and vehicles are recoloured old ones) the new content is just known since beta (Catars, HK, Makeb) and the "almost new" like hypergates or Terror from beyond is so plain , so more of the same, that scares.
As i said nohopes for the game, we will se more kill 15 droid misions, more click 5 barrels, rocks, panels and no more.
The only thing that i would like to try is the new level cap just t osee how they mess the things to make it umplayable like pre 1.2.
After seen the advances with the SWGproject emu with full customizable species like kel-dors, Nautolans, nightsisters, chiss...even GUNGANS!!! full customizable weather and planet apparences . I only can feel sadness for the SWTOR team.
Those dudes with no money and only hope and love for a dead game, have done 200 times more things than SWTOR team this last year with 200m$ and EA backup.
I only hope Disney dont renew the IP to EA and with the 2.0 they announce the closure of this poor atempt of MMO and shameless SW license.

To be honest if the name Star Wars was'nt in the box this game would been closed since February 2012.
The name will not attract any new player, just retain the few remaining.

I would pay 21€ month for a emulator of a SWG in game.
I mean: a way to log in my SWG characters as it was a minigame.
Is not so crazy at they put a StarFox emulator already, why not a SWG?
Seriously, this game lacks so many things that list what I will not remove from it is shorter.

The problem here is Biofail trying to sell us PVP and PVE as two different games and not as two different ways of progress.
We, PVP players are not pissed by the expertise difference, the problem is the huge gap from PVP gear and PVE gear. A full augmented elite warhero should be so good at PVE as a Campaing gear.
is the same game, just 2 different ways of play it in the name of god. If i dont want to spend my time doing operations everyday and enjoy more do warzones and grind coms why I should be treated as a second class player?
Remove expertise from the game and start to see all activities as part of the same experience. Dividing players in PVE and PVP is a huge WoW mistake not a reality in the mmorpg genre.

So we will advance +3 in few stats!!!! WOOOOOHOOOO and no expertise gain in 90% of the items.
Awesome job pissing pvp players.
Tip: grind the relics, implants and nothing else. The rest of the stats (including new modable waist and wrist items ) are the same stats or +3 gain in main stat than warhero.

For be a person who tries to change other persons opinions just because dont like it you should think :
1. 80% of the players who tried SWTOR leaved the game.
2. The game went to F2P in less than a year.
3. The main reason of leavers is GAME DOESN't worth a sub.
4. the game has now less players than SWG after 3 years 2003-2005.
F2p will fail , because the game FAILS. and nothing is done to mend it.

The main problem with this F2P model is they are not working at all in the main flaws of the game. Just offering the only good thing actually have for free, and that is leveling.
EA is trying to convince the players to go to sub model cutting the most boring and unpolished part of the game , the endgame, boring and reptitive as no other game I've ever seen in my gamer life.
That ony works for 1 or 2 months. When people see there is nothing worth to pay for, as 1,5 m players stated leaving the game when reached end game... The game will be a barren again,
EA knows and doesnt care, they hope to milk as much money they can from the cartel shop and the subs before put the game in coma.
This model is in my opinion just another big fail. The game oesnt worth a sub, The only thing could make me change my mind is the cartel coins goes by 150 for 1$. Then maybe they can keep a lot of players.
Pay 4 or 5$ / month for just play warzones (in fact the only thing I do in game without go to puke) is fair enough.

As a SWG lover i have my heart divided.
1st i would like to see things from SWG again, an wookie life day is star wars and SWG lore.
But other part of me feels dirty because this game, SWTOR doesn't deserve anything from the game I love and LA closed without a huge lack of vision.
So life day? mmmm maybe.

As i said , im including the returning players who left the game for the new thing and came back ... The numbers are taken from the last report from EA, pre GW2 launch and the server status post GW2. Of course not all the people who left the game was for play GW2, but most of them for sure.
The point of my post , is they (BW/EA) are trying to catch new players offering them the same things (garbage in the most players opinion, not all of course, just 80%) But also limited.
The game is sunk , sunk since February 2012 and they are trying to save the furnitures to recover all the money they can before leave it at their risk, just like Warhammer online.
The Cartel garbage and F2p lie is just for catch as many returned players they can and some new naiv souls who will come back to claim trheir cartel coins (paying a month for it) and people engaged with the leveling flavour, the only thing good of the game (the first time). after that people will start to leave again , but this time faster than before.
You will se a huge raise of 1m accounts more or less for the first 2 months of the F2P lie , then when the burst explode , the numbers will drop again to 200k or even less.
The problem with this game is not the monthly fee, is the BOREDOM, the game is boring after level 50, Flashpoints and Warzones are the only thing to do.
Worlds are not explorable, loot is only good from comendations and ops, there ar no cool achievements to do(because codex is a fail, sorry, something you cant show to others is nothing worth to complete).
And those things are removed from F2P players. Nobody will pay for afailed game. i'm very sorry but is the reallity of this game.
The MMO time is passing, but is not gamers fault, is Devs lack of vision and their try of repite the same formulas now wasted and old.
So you are right people who quit dont always join other game, but people who quits is because they didnt liked what they saw.
All MMOS are losing people, (But EVE and maybe Rift). That doeant make SWTOR any better.
