Right now I don't expect anything more from TOR. Quit the game some time ago, I absolutely don't like where the game's going with stunts like announcing content and then, after few months telling people they will have to pay for it out of the blue, because now they call something that used to be a content patch an EXPANSION!

End game is still nonexistent, social features are still too few and uninteresting, Cartel market doesn't even provide items that would look cool. The game is static, nothing changes, nothing will change soon.

I imagine myself returning in a year of two, when the game is actually in a state it should have been shipped in... but I'm afraid there might be nothing to return to.

And it will still be pretty underwhelming, because with the current model it can't be any other way. Instead of concentrating their team on making an actual game expansion they insist on releasing small idiotic content patches that get chewed down in days.

Give me enough content to play this game for another two months and I will. Give me some silly war zones and items that mean nothing to me and I will go play Battlefield 3, because that's where I'm looking when I look for player versus player combat.

The longer I look at this game the more it seems like a failure in it's very concept - that is "story driven MMO". You can't make a multiplayer game that can be played as a single player game and then pretend the game is build around pvp. I don't give a poop about war zones, gear and all that. It's been close to a year (8 days close) since the game's launch and all the core (CORE) audience of this game got was more emoticons, face expressions and one companion... still no sitting on chairs.

Subs dropped because there's nothing to do in this game for those people who left and instead of doing anything to bring those people back by giving them even the smallest reason, they have concentrated on desperate attempts at fixing what was broken or wasn't even there in the first place.

So... nothing, nothing and a little bit of nothing.

Oh yeah. Because that's how world works. Not sure if I should cry or laugh.

While it would be a nice thing to be able to kill your companion off, the crafting system would suggest otherwise... HK is the sixth companion that can gain affection and as such be more effective in class missions... you can send one companion more on a mission every 10 levels, you have 5 actual companions, level cap is at 50... we know the level cap is being raised to 60 and that they are adding a 6th companion. Dots are there to connect.

I love how people still fall in this silly differentiation between BioWare and EA. BioWare is a subdivision, if the game goes f2p it's entirely EA's decision and anything BioWare does is a) EA's click or b) EA approved. There is no shackle, there is unity.

Truth is - TOR would benefit greatly from some sort of metagame.

Well, I read Conan books for the most part... yeah...

As for the Revan book - true, it ended way too fast, but I don't think it was "Drew. This is a Star Wars book. Cut it short, make it cheesy and get it done already."

I think it was more like "Drew. This is a Star Wars The Old Republic book. Cut it exactly like this so it fluently fits into the game and we can continue that arch later."
