Just to check for a common mistake, are you trying to go to a user folder literally named %username% or are you going to the folder with the same name as you use to log into Windows? (%username% is a placeholder for whatever is your actual login name / account.)

True, but not everyone has all their quickbars displayed. If you're new to MMOs you may only have the one quickbar displayed. The extended UI setup, let alone the UI editor, can easily escape your notice.

I've always enjoyed the guides. With all of the new folks coming to the game with free to play, some more "101/basics" guides would be nice. I was reminded of that today when someone new to pvp didn't know how to throw the huttball. Definitely funny, but how many of us would have thought to look through our general abilities for a specific pvp arena ability by ourselves?

Don't forget that the WoW pets and mounts are account wide. The Czerka CR-17 Incendia is very pricey if it is just a single character mount.

The holostatue is nice since it is a trainer. That will be handy while leveling. The pet and title are fun. It's nice to see Bioware go for a different looking pet than some of the stuff they've previously created. The title will go next to my Founder title for the days (hopefully) when I show the newer folks that I was here in the beginning. ;)

I wouldn't mind seeing another color combo crystal. Those are fun to play with. (Actually, I wish they would just remove the stats from the crystals and make them pure flavor items). I do hope they put some of the stuff up on the PTS. Even if they want to keep some of the content back for surprise/novelty purposes, I'd like a chance to test some of the new systems options they are going to add.

Go to Twitter and do a search on Darth Hater if you want more (of what there is). The guys are being staying pretty quiet (probably due to contractual reasons) about the situation.

I just wanted to say "thank you" to everyone that worked on Darth Hater. I was a latecomer to the site and podcast, but I appreciated all the efforts and passion DH put into the website and the game through all the ups and downs of SW:ToR's launch and first year.

Good luck everyone in your future efforts!

I'm atypical. I'm almost 50 and a widower with my only child grown and married. Thus, I game as much as I want over the holidays as my cats don't care what I'm doing. ^_^ I'll attend my immediate family's events, but that's it. I do occasionally share in-game holidays with my son and his wife (they both game), but it just depends on schedules.

I like repeating in-game events, be it real world holiday analogs or made up annual events. That way if I have to miss an event one year I can catch it (or 'catch up') the next year.

[Rant: on] I really disliked SWTOR's two one-time events because I was unable to be a part of both due to work commitments. It is frustrating to know you'll never be to get those achievements because of things beyond your control. Also, it is annoying that the devs have wasted development time on two one-time events when the game still needs other areas of work. It would be different if the rakghoul plague popped up at random times or the grand acquisition race reoccurred, now and then. But really, when you're struggling to retain subscribers you have events that if missed cause people to go, 'well, I missed that, no sense in logging in now'. :sigh: [Rant: off]

    1) This will seem odd to start with, but I'd rather not see guild perks that benefit characters. Swtor already has a character perks system: Legacy. One of the annoyances of Wow is when you work on building up a guild, see it fall apart and end up having to change guilds. Thus losing all the effort you put into the first guild. Let the guild perks be for things that only make sense with groups. Such as faster mail between guildies, mass revives in operations (only), etc.

    2) Cross faction guilds or cross faction guild alliances. From a lore standpoint, for example, why wouldn't a (hypothetical) dark side Republic guild ally with a dark side Imperial guild? From a social point, it is just pure win to be able to chat with your friends and guilds no matter where they are in the game.

    3) An in-game guild calendar would be nice. Many don't use them, but those that do seem to rely on them heavily.

    4) Alt-tagging. It would be nice to be able to see which toon is who's alt without tagging someone's note. This would also help guild bank security in those cases when someone social engineers their way into "officer alt" territory. Being able to check the guild roster for confirmation would make that long existing problem go away.

    5) Searchable crafting skills via the guild roster. Being able to see who has what schematics even when they are offline is a really nice benefit.

    6) An guild zone with public & member's only areas. Let the public area be for showing off guild achievements (ranked warzones wins, operations trophies, etc.) and other PR related stuff. Let the member's only be for guild meetings or social events. (Leave the GTN, vendors, etc. to the fleet and member's ships. We still want folks to be in the public areas for some things.)

    1) I'd like to see the Wow/Diablo 2-style talent point system go away and have the game go to a Kotor-style skills/feats system. Give me real choices, not cookie-cutter specs that people will argue about ad-nauseaum.

    2) Prune / simplify all the various combat abilities. There are too many seldom used abilities across all the classes. A nice goal would be to have everything you would use in an operation, flashpoint, or pvp fit on a single action bar.

    3) Ranks of abilities. Even Wow handles this behind the scenes. I shouldn't have to go back to a trainer to learn a new rank or a new skill for that matter. When your companion can sell your trash items why do we need to go back to town to learn abilities? (I can see seeing a trainer for your advanced class and speeder skills, but the other stuff ought to be automatic.)

    4) Legacy support for seeing what your other character's professions are. I hate finding a schematic and having no idea if another of my characters already knows it. With the pushes for people leveling multiple toons the game could stand more support for cross-character information.

    5) Addons / Mods. All of us have an itch the default UI doesn't scratch. Enabling addons would let folks have the UI tweaks that make them happy. Plus, Bioware could incorporate into the game basic items that popular addons created.

    6) Cross-faction guilds or a 'friends id list' that would let you chat with people when you're playing on different sides or servers. The game allows you to /say to the opposite side, why not extend this to a bigger social realm? The easier it is to chat with friends in game the more I'm likely to stay in game. Heck, cross-faction grouping or even cross server grouping with your friends would be a major bonus. Sometimes the lore of Star Wars needs to be sacrificed to allow for more fun gameplay.

    7) Mini-games. Pazaak, swoop racing, dueling arenas, etc. The group-finder went a long way to making content accessible, but having quick content is nice when you just have half-an-hour or so to play.

    8) Being able to use my galactic map from my ship's hatch to travel. The fewer zone transitions I have to make the better. I understand that for story purposes I might get locked out of this feature at times, but anything to make it possible to have *one* transition between planets would be great.

    9) Dual specs that include the ability to have each spec be from the two different advanced classes for a base class. If that is too much, the ability to have dual specs within a single advanced class, but have the option to change your advanced class. Even if the advanced class chance was, say 1 million credits or a number of cartel coins sometimes you just realize that you made a mistake in your choice of advanced class for a character. (Heck, put the change on a one week cooldown similar to the respec cost reset.)
