I voted somewhat disappointed. Let me preface by saying that I LOVED the first event. I found it very enjoyable. For this event I like the concept, but was somewhat disappointed with the execution. Reason why:
1. The box quest: This alone was enough to turn this from enjoyable to annoying. It's bad enough that you had the quest to look for the 6 random spawn boxes, but add to that the fact that the 6th piece always took longer (I did the quest on 4 toons), and worse yet, others were searching them constantly for comms. The boxes for comms idea isn't that bad, actually I think it's quite good, give people the opportunity to get unlimited comms for either selling for money or buying the event items, but mixing that with one of the quests ruined that IMO. The boxes should have been 100% separate from the actual quests or the event item should have been a single drop (not 1/6 x 6) with a fairly high percentage to drop.
2. The rewards: When I state the rewards you might ask if I mean the rewards for the quests themselves, the items from the vendors, or if I even mean the credits you get from completing the quests, the answer is yes. The Chevin promised riches, I was expecting the credit yield to be much, much better for completing the entire quest (I'm talking like several 100k credits [possible scaling down if not 50]). The rewards from the comms were OK. I liked the new sand people set and bought a full set for one toon (though I wish it would have correlated to the actual event somehow). I actually liked the speeder, a lot of people complained about it not being 110% speed, but LOOK AT IT, it looks like it barely runs. I'm quite confident the low speed was intentional, this is clearly meant to be a novelty vanity item, not your new permanent mount. Something you bring out from time to time as a joke. For that I liked the speeder (though a new 110% in addition would have been a nice option, maybe a fixed up version of the same speeder). I didn't care for the weapons only being bowcasters. I loved that they were bind on legacy, I was able to give my 45 sniper a full columi modded blaster for the second she dings 50, but if you don't have a character who needs it, it seems like a waste. It's been said, and I believe, the intent is that future events will follow the same idea, for example maybe next event is only vibroblades, or pistols, but with currently people screaming that content doesn't get released frequently enough the timing of this was bad. There should have been a few events in close secession building up player confidence that content would flow more regularly before going to a model where there may be 0 gear you want from an event (even then haters gonna hate, but there would have been fewer). Finally the amount of comms you got from completing the event wasn't enough to get much of the items from the vendor. I suspect this was intentional the boxes were ment to fill that, but see the problem with the boxes above, this compounded that. I ran all 5 of my level 20+ toons through the full event, doing so and doing very little box farming outside of the box quest i was able to buy: 1 pet, 1 mount, 1 x40 comm bowcaster, and 1 full sand person set, and had about 30-40 comms left over. That sounds like a lot, but that was running the full event 5 times, so a single run through would have only got me 1/5 of that. I understand you don't want everyone to get it all, that takes away the uniqueness, but people also don't want to have to super grind on a limited time frame event.
3. The story: I like that an attempt was made at a story, but it was lacking. The intro - great, I loved the newscast, The middle - good, it was interesting working with the spy faction, The end - what end? You turn in the quest and receive a title, but never really found out what the Chevin was doing. I'm hoping there will be something coming after maintenance or when the new operation drop that explains this, if not this was a big ball drop on the story (especially when we were told there would be a twist, was the twist that you lied and there was not twist?)
