All didn't, Vox is around, and possibly emlaeh too in some form. I don't know if any others are still around though.

No. I am merely vocalizing my support of Vox taking over the reigns.

I am one of those moving on to other things.

What Vox said. Looking forward to seeing the next iteration of the site under Vox's hand. :)

Going to post this here too...

Because we didn't know who the baton was passing to, and we did not want to handicap their success in any shape or form. And frankly, it was none of our business. Sleeper, Sado, Pete, Dave, Dover, and myself were the partners in HATER LLC, and we all decided it was time for us to give others a shot at running the site and we could do other things. That's why we dissolved the company, and why we kept the staff largely in the dark -- to be fair to people and let them make their own decisions. We know every single staffer had enough training, experience, and capability to do it.

The transition just took a little longer than expected, and we wish everyone involved continued success.

As for Gamebreaker... I know the style of humor of a certain host whose name begins with "G", I'm pretty sure that bleeping was an attempt at a joke. :P But yeah, Justin nor any of members of HATER LLC's former core team can no longer act as representatives of this site.

So once again to clarify -- nothing nefarious happened, and there is no bad blood between anyone as far as I know. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but no one was fired, and no one quit in some dramatic passionate scene. I know, it's boring but hey, it's the truth.

Since the old team did leave peacefully, why didn't they make goodbye posts announcing this? If a staffer leaves any other website, they tend to make goodbye posts. And with the DH founders being such obviously prominent members of this site, shouldn't they have made goodbye posts? That could be part of why people assumed the worst here. It's not too late for them to do so, maybe.

Reposting this from another thread on the same topic:

Okay, everyone stop throwing spitballs at Curse. It is not necessary or even warranted -- these rumors are completely false.

The truth is that most of the core team wanted to move on and do different things. As a result, we decided to disband HATER LLC so that our excellent staffers could be free of any obligations. The site remains in very capable hands, and we still play the game -- just as regular players now.

I'm not on the podcast and yes, my heart goes out to anyone who loses their job in this economy, but my persoanl opinion is that these layoffs shouldn't affect the game. Using some fake numbers to emphasize this point: you build the game with 20 world designers, and you don't really need all 20 of them to build one or two new planets after the initial launch. At one point you need to let some of them go. We saw a lot of departures for whatever reason over the years, and with maybe a couple exceptions off the top of my head, we very rarely super focused on it.

Some of the comments were getting out of hand, and were really uncalled for. Although we are really tolerant of a lot of posts, we don't want DH to turn into a troll fest, and want to keep conversations constructive so you find some value from your time spent here.

Dover's new job takes up a huge portion of his time, and cannot commit to the podcast. He isn't gone, just doing other stuff. :)

I tested ranked Warzones each day I was on the test server, and there was even a specific planned block of hours by the devs that encouraged ranked testing advertised inthe test forums that many participated in.
