Does anyone have an idea where any of the pieces of this gear set drop? The orange moddable version, instead of the blue. I'm wondering why such info doesn't exist anywhere on any of the SWTOR info sites.

LoC, AVG isn't the only antivirus to do that. Many antivirus/firewall programs, particularly those that have both an AV and a FW, will block the SWTOR game client as "unwanted software." We need to remember that Windows is outrageously tantrumy about absolutely DEMANDING that we do everything ITS way, never saving anything anywhere OTHER than "My Documents," telling it YES for crying out loud, I told you SIX TIMES already to LAUNCH THIS [CENSORED] PROGRAM, etc.
I use eSET Smart Security, a program I'm extremely satisfied with, but it absolutely refused to permit the launching of the client until I went into its advanced setup mode and told it to stop automatic TCP/IP filtering of BOTH the launcher.exe client AND the main swtor.exe file. If I tell it to wait ten friggin minutes before downloading EVERY single Windows Update, I get an absolutely SPAM-DELUGE of "DAMMIT I said your computer IS **NOT** SAFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" again, ad nauseum.
Extremely satisfied with the program, BUT it can get really irritating and make me want to punch its digital nose, haha :P

So what should the content team do while the systems team is busy then? Absolutely nothing? Sorry guys, don't come in to work today! The players want the systems team to finish their work before more content comes out!..
The people working on server transfers, legacy, etc are different people than those working on content.
Simutronics, still a major player in the text MUD department, fell so far behind schedule in releasing a fourth province, that the general product manager ordered every and ALL Game Masters to stop anything and everything they were working on, and devote their time exclusively to helping those who had already been working on finishing it. In other words, absolutely ALL development on everything else was completely halted until the fourth province was finally finished and released. And everyone yelled and cursed and kvetched and moaned... and then life in the game went on. Everyone took time to enjoy the new province and development on all the halted projects resumed full force.
And this issue with the fourth province in Simutronics was something like ten years ago. And their Game Masters were volunteers who were paid minimal compensation-- it wasn't employment in the same sense that Bioware developers are employed.
So if full time employees have fallen so far behind on infrastructure, I'd say it's high time that they get their priorities straight. They can pile new content on our plates until half of it spills over the edges. The longer critical infrastructure stays missing and/or broken; infrastructure that "every other MMO and its grandma" has and therefore, most players refuse to do without-- the more Bioware's revenue will drop.
I've seen at least one Sullustan in the game that speaks Basic pretty well. To say more than that would be giving away a class story spoiler-- sometimes the no-spoiler rule, unofficial or not, can really drive you nuts, you know?
Why is subtitled conversation such a bad thing, though? I don't recognize high-pitch sounds so I often have tremendous trouble following conversation. Without the subtitles I would have been forced to stop playing the game permanently, almost as soon as I'd started.
But you do make a good point on the headgear issue and the fact that the Empire is openly bigoted against non-human races. Outside of Rattataki, Chiss, Sith and Zabrak, it's pretty hard to see other alien races in the Empire-- and even those races run up against prejudice, as the planetary story mission for the Empire on Hoth demonstrates.
I first became eligible on my commando at level 53. Two astromech droids right near other on Carrick Station offered the missions to begin. I completed the introductory mission line on Coruscant for the macrobinoculars. It's not quite as straightforward as it might seem. I won't give it all away, but you'll need to stop and think, and be aware of your surroundings, to finish. It was frustrating when I seemed to be stuck, twice during the introductory quest line, but satisfying when I finished. I now have missions to go to Taris and Tatooine with the macrobinoculars. I'm looking forward to see how they unfold, keeping in mind what I learned during the initial quest line on Coruscant.
The account RECOVERY, yes, I'd say I missed that completely. That clears a lot of things up. I do have a small concern remaining about this One Time Password. I frequently scour my hard drive and erase all cookies, including the program CCleaner. In fact, my browser is set to clear all browser cookies each time it's clsoed down. Will this affect OTP?
Bioware insists that the new Display-Name only login, greatly increases security. But one thing I learned from having had a family member in the sales business, is this: Nobody is going to tell you, "Hi, I'm a crook, buy my product so I can screw you out of all your hard-earned money!"
I'm afraid to post on the official SWTOR forums now. Everyone who sees my display name will immediately have half my account information (well, in my case, one third of it, since I use a security key). Before, when I used my email address, they didn't have ANY of my login information. So, what am I missing?
BTW, if you're going to rail on me about why I'm worrying if I have a security key, then don't bother, okay? Because if that's the case, then it's my security key that's keeping my account secure, NOT having to use my display name to log in.
What am I missing, if posting on the SWTOR forums broadcasts one of my login components to every wannabe hacker schnook out there, and if I'm correct in my belief that when I logged in with my email address, nobody had any of the three keys to the lock?
No more HEADSHOT? =:O Argh someone shoot me now!
...seriously, I understand why they're removing all the various "only usable against incapacitated targets" abilities from the game. I really do. But that don't mean I gotta like it, haha!
(<---- sniper is still, 'shooter of HEADS,' no matter what Bioware says or does :P)
Forcing PVE players into PVP zones will not make it so "PVP'ers get to PVP" again. What they'll get to do is beat on a dead horse that can't fight back effectively. Differences in PVE and PVP are more than just gear. Rotations are different, strategy and tactics are different, and very often, talents are different. A PVP player will spec differently than a PVE player, who often won't have a good defense. And forcing PVP players to "escort" or "protect" PVE players trying to get PVE quest items will put too much undue stress on them by forcing them to divide their attention too thinly.
Bringing people who are neither geared, nor specced, nor knowledgeable in how to battle other players, to PVP zones is not bringing PVP back to that place. What it brings there is a skeet shoot-- fire at the ducks that ride along the moving conveyor belt. Of course there's going to be people running there to do that, because there's always people who'd rather gank someone who can't fight back.
Adding "skeet shoot" PVP is not "WIN/WIN." Maybe it's a win/win for people who like to beat dead horses, or who are so bored by current PVP that they'd welcome any change. But there WILL be "losers," and they're NOT going to be happy, and they';re NOT going to be quiet about it.
