Rogue, I'm sorry, but I was too busy freaking out over each of the fights to look closely at each of the elite mobs I fought. I did see buff/debuff symbols but I never moused over any of them to see what they were, and I don't remember whether any of these symbols stayed with any particular mob throughout the fight. I am BAD at remembering a dozen or more keybindings and, for now at least, have to rely on mouseclicking icons on the quickslot bar, which causes problems when I sometimes lose sight of the mouse cursor in the heat of battle.
I just know that no elite ever budged to any of the knockback abilities I used and didn't halt its crippling attacks for a split second in light of all the various stuns I tried... and given the cooldowns for each of them, once all of them were blown and unusable for x-amount of time, I was as good as dead, yet again.
I love the Sniper AC, and another reason I desperately want to be a Sniper instead of an Operative is I get frustrated when playing any AC that is CAPABLE of healing but is specced for DPS, and getting spammed with whispers "heal thie heroic plz" or "we need healz we need healz plz plz plz we need healz." With a sniper there's no argument, no having to overfill my ignore list beacuse of endless whining and groveling for me to only heal heal heal. Still, in light of everything I'm now reading, I am beginning to wonder if the Sniper AC is just inefficient. Quilixx has listed certain feats he did as an Operative that he was certain a Sniper would be completely unable to duplicate. In light of this I'm wondering if playing a Sniper is really worth it at all.
Quilixx mentioned "once I get Dr. Lokin and begin to get endgame gear then it's smooth sailing." Even if I began playing again, I don't think I would have time to run Operations-- certainly not with even the slightest degree of regularity. I would never be able to get any kind of "Tier" gear that binds on pickup after defeating an Operations boss. Since I was never willing to min/max and only assume talent builds (exact to the last point) that other people declared "THE universal best" (as happened with WoW once-- I had a VICIOUS fight, during the last boss of Zul'Aman no less, with the healer over why my mage was fire instead of arcane)-- I would most likely be denied membership in any guild wanting to run Operations.
At least here I am getting some useful advice, although having deleted all my Imp toons and left teh server I was on, I would have to find a new one to start over again if I return to full active play. So it would be some time before I get back to that point.
