Honestly though, if you play the game enough to where you have money in escrow, JUST SUB! There's nothing more to it really.

It's absurdly simple to hit even the preferred cap.  350k credits is garbage money and takes no time to acquire.  1-2 days of dailies will give you that.  It's not like the credit limit is millions of credits.  Not sure why you insist somebody sub.  Oh, I know why.  You're the same type as so many others.  Sub or GTFO, right?

Subcribers wouldn't be complaining if we actually got value for the $15 or so we pay every month. in the last 6 months, say $60 - $70 subscription cost (the price of a brand new game) we got, one raid, a daily hub(section X) and a warzone(hypergates) and an event(that anyone can partake in) , and thats simply not enough for my money.

To be fair, they were working on all of that, aside from the Gree event, since June of last year.  That's 5 months before the F2P conversion.  Meaning, you were actually paying for that shit months before.  Where your subscription money has gone since, that's the REAL question.

Wow. All the customization stuff takes cartel coins? And there's no new content for subscribers?

    Consider my subscription canceled.

Now don't look at it like that.  According to Bioware, the monthly allotment of Cartel Coins is complementary which means you're getting the ability to do some customizations for free.  Isn't that what you want?

Just because 2.1 is a pure CC update doesn't mean that we won't see "real" content updates in the future.

You're right, it doesn't.  But it does open the door for them to give you more "content" that's tied to the Cartel Market and will cost you money as opposed to content that's in-game for you to play.  So far, from what they've shown us for this new update, it's all garbage.  It's nice stuff to have, but could have been given to people with the "expansion" instead of being called a "Game Update".  Using that terminology, when it does nothing to actually update the game itself, is intentionally misleading and a flat out lie.

Well, it's been labeled a "Customization Patch" so I would expect that since anything cosmetic would be inherently non-pertinent to game play that it would be one of the Cartel Market only drops.  I don't have a problem with that.  Ebb and flow.  As long as subsequent releases aren't also CM only releases, they can pretty much go ahead with what they are doing.  I'm not so cynical to assume that one CM only release is a trend.

Bioware saying one thing and doing another has most definitely been a trend.  This is just another example of that trend.  It isn't me being cynical in the slightest.  It's them saying one thing and then blatantly doing another.  The promise was made that there would be actual in-game content every 6-8 weeks (which, at first, was just 6 weeks).  Content that wasn't tied to the Cartel Market.  They are going back on that promise.

Here's the biggest problem with this.  What are they going to add to the game in 2.1 that DOESN'T cost Cartel Coins?  If the customization options and Cathar cost CC, what actual CONTENT is being added?  Where's the new FP, WZ, Op, dailies, or event?  If they do not release actual in-game content, is it finally time for people to start realizing that Bioware is slowly, but surely, going back on everything they promised when they released F2P?

Actually, given the nature of the giveaway and the rules I have to follow, unless 100% of the folks that entered gave me their permission, I can't reveal who won.  Since I've already received a few messages asking that I not do this, then I'm unable to unfortunately.  However, if some of the winners that would like to share choose to speak up, that's obviously up to them.

I figured that the piece at the bottom about using them in an article would have made it clear that they were waiving their right to privacy should they win.  Doesn't matter to me.  I won one, you can use mine.

Says 3 pm Pacific, which means 6 pm EST.  Not sure where you are in the world, but just base it off of that.

Why I want a free copy of the expansion? I don't actually. I have been a Star Wars fan my entire life, subscriber since early access last year, pre-ordered RoTHC in December and I already have 2 lvl55 characters. I respect the company that made my favorite MMO enough that I'm not too cheap to pay 10 dollars for the fabulous planet of Makeb. If you want to play the expansion, buy it. 10 dollars is not the end of the world. This is coming from a college student who works on weekends and sometimes on workdays, too and lives in a country where the standards of living are considered well-below the European or American average. If I could do it, you can too!

Why are you attempting to vilify those who are attempting to get this for free?  Why are you making the assumption that everyone entering this contest is a subscriber?  There is a demographic of playerbase that exists who may not feel that $20 is worth it or they would like to pay the $20 but can not.  Remember, only subscribers get this for $10, not the other players who also help prop up the game you enjoy playing by buying Cartel Coins so they can purchase things off of the Cartel Market.  If it wasn't for those players, along with this business model that attracts those players, this game would be dead.  Ohlen already admitted that.  So please, in the future, refrain from your attempts to make people feel bad for entering a contest to receive something for free.

My favorite companion is easily Gault.  Unlike many other characters, there is no hidden layers to his personality, no deeper meaning.  He is exactly what he portrays himself to be.  With him, you will always know where you stand.  Whether for good or bad, you're only important to him if you're his best chance for survival.  In the same token, as a DS BH, he's only important to you if he is the same.  Both he and the BH are cut from the same cloth.  If there is any long term benefit to turning on you, he'll do it in the same fashion that a true BH would turn him in if it meant a much larger profit.  Despite the fact that he's a partial coward, Gault is also extremely shrewd and intelligent.  He'll always look out for his own best interests and that is comforting to know in that you'll never have to attempt to figure him out.  He's not blindly loyal and he isn't a brute.  Gault is his own person and a damn fine shot with a sniper rifle.
