Yep very important news operations-wise that BW put in a secret boss.

Quick comment from a NiM 16man raider: I'd love to hear darth hater's/podcast's thoughts about the fact that 16man Kephess hasn't been killed yet going into week 6 of NiM progression.  Granted there's only 7 guilds that have even gotten that far.  It's kind of intriguing to wonder whether Bioware made it this challenging on purpose or whether a computer set the difficulty and bioware shipped it.  Either way, I think it's definitely an interesting experiment since it's really the only thing that's given *everyone* trouble since launch (with NiM tanks being a close 2nd, and now that's been nerfed).

I'm assuming this has to do with the reports that people were losing schematics from their log after RE'ing.  Check reddit or forums for more info, although the threads may be buried by now.

It looks like the relics listed are the War Hero relics instead of the Elite War Hero relics...mistake?

For a long time I thought that games that did not provide calendars/voice/elaborate UIs were lacking and deserved negative "points" for not having them.  Fact is, when there are online tools that do these things better anyway, it's almost better to not have them in game.  As we've seen, Bioware already has a lot to juggle around priority-wise, and if it's having to spend time fixing bugs with its vent client, it's not making actual features.

That said, I really would like more from guilds, and there's a lot of room to explore.  More than anything, I'd like some of the things that cannot be provided by outside tools (or are made difficult in outside tools) and these are generally cross-guilds.  Server firsts, or general boss accomplishments would be great (potentially public), public PvP rankings, additional crew skill functionality (maybe guild schematics, maybe public schematics).  Those would be great to see.  It also might be nice if characters with the same account/legacy could be grouped to better show the size of the guild or to assign rights/privaledges.

This is not P2W.  You can get +31 Expertise crystals at that point in the leveling process, and once you hit 50, you can get +41 for pennies on the dollar.  So, yes, they may be giving a +20 expertise advantage to people between level 35 and 50, but that's hardly going to be an issue.

They never said that F2P players would be equal to subscribers.  They said that the F2P options for subscribers would be cosmetic only, which so far, is the case.

How you got elitism from my post is beyond me.  It's not about being "alone on the selling side", the goal of the re-ers is not to sell these at all, it's to distribute them for free/at cost to their raiders.  The point is that this diminishes the natural, intended progression of the game.  It doesn't take a genius to realize that when people are handed the best items in the game, they'll quickly get bored and quit.

I'm making less of a complaint and more of a statement on the state of the game and how people view the way that Bioware is handling it.  Me personally, I can reap the benefits of this, so whatever.

Thanks for posting this, Sado.  This issue is actually quite a bit larger than what it appears on the surface.  We learned about this issue 4 weeks ago after 1.4 came out because people were suddenly showing up with our schematics on the gtn after we sold them mods.  We were then made privy to the fact that there was a group of people across several raiding guilds that was using this "trick" to learn all schematics and then share with each other.  Through coercion of those that learn the schematics (having a fresh 50 toon approach someone selling a mod with a discount plea) this group has now learned all but a handful of the 1.4 schematics.  Subsequently, those guilds are close to fully geared out...in 4 weeks.  The way it works is that there's almost no way to avoid this group from learning any schematic, and once they do, a large portion of the potential customer base gets it for free.  Apparently this has been going on since 1.2.

Without exploits, we've been doing our best to gear up, learning 9 BiS schematics, but at the cost of 55 REs.  To see that people have found a way to "mob" this game system is one thing, but to see that BW endorses it is something that obviously has a lot of people questioning whether to keep raiding.
