During our recent podcast, we mentioned that some people feel news for Star Wars: The Old Republic is currently experiencing a lull. Luckily for us, the developers continue to post in the official forums to combat this perception. This week's DevTracker Highlights discuss the meaning of the name Pureblood, absence of information on game systems, and one dev's suggested reading list for fans of Sci-Fi espionage.
Darth Hater will bring you coverage of Comic-Con all throughout the day. Keep your eyes peeled and F5s stomped for incoming news on Star Wars : The Old Republic . Our Comic-Con schedule includes live blogging of the 1:00-2:00 PM PST Beyond Solo: Crafting the Multiplayer Story in Star Wars: The Old Republic panel, featuring BioWare developers James Ohlen, Alex Freed, and Drew Karpyshyn.

Who doesn't love yellow text from Star Wars: The Old Republic developers throughout the week? First up is a lovely insight into the Sith Empire potentially looking down their noses at rare species from BioWare's Daniel Erickson:
Interesting thread. Yes, racism (speciesism?) is out there in TOR. It rears it head rarely in the multicultural Republic but being exotic in the Empire is an uphill battle to be sure.
So much for sharing a drink with a Elomin. More from BioWare writers after the jump.
Senior Writer Alexander Freed divulges some of the secrets of the life of the Imperial Agent

Real time decoding:
It all starts on Hutta, where THE EMPIRE is trying to GAIN the ALLEGIANCE of NEM'RO the Hutt. After THE HUTTA MISSION, the Imperial Agent IS SENT TO ASSASSINATE A PROMINENT SENATOR on behalf of Darth BARAS. Hell work alongside a genetically enhanced SOLDIER, encounter double-agents and triple-agents, betray HIS OWN ALLIES or perform atrocities in the name of the Empire. The Imperial Agent will need to determine his own loyalties and the loyalties of those around him, and survive the attentions of SADOW'S successor, the Sith Lord DARTH ANDEDDU.
For those of you giving it a try, one last word of advice: Whatever you do? Don't trust ANYONE.
We're going with Zoidberg's very good suggestion of DARTH ANDEDDU unless we can find something better... but Drew Karpyshyn mentions him in the Darth Bane books & there are a few blog entries mentioning him, so this is our strongest contender so far:

I don't really know if I can say anything else about who might be appearing in the novel, but I'm going to throw a couple names out just for kicks: Cognus, Set Harth, Andeddu.
Wow, I probably said way too much. Maybe I should delete that. But for some reason I've been very in touch with my own personal dark side lately, so let's leave it for now and see if I get in trouble.
Happy New Year
(Special thanks to Ascendant, ProdigaLLL, and of course, those who participated in the constantly moving thread linked above)
