Given that a greater amount of players are now level 50 and spending additional time with Crew Skills, maps and guides to gathering node locations are becoming more important. When starting new alts to farm gathering materials for Crew Skills, resource maps can be extremely useful in speeding the rate of acquisition for raw components. Our intention is to begin assisting the hunting-gathering player base with a means of locating and identifying all known nodes on each planet. Now with the second week here, we cover the nodes of Balmorra.
For now though, hit the jump for our Balmorra Bioanalysis node guide.
As players start to reach end game, the importance of gaining the Datacron bonus stats will rise and have a bigger impact on a player’s overall performance. In this Datacron guide, we walk players through the planet of Balmorra from the Imperial perspective. While both Imperial and Republic players visit Balmorra, they do so at different points - levels 16-20 for the Empire and levels 32-36 for the Republic. Therefore the planets themselves and maps are a bit different. This guide focuses on the experience of Imperial players.
The Star Wars galaxy is filled with thousands of planets, from barren wastelands to thriving city-planets. The announced planets for Star Wars: The Old Republic are a well-chosen cross section of this diverse spectrum. In this overview, you will find a listing of each planet, its faction allegiance, its terrain, relevant , and a brief look at its history and how the planet connects to the Old Republic timeline.
A few months ago we got a not-so-subtle tip from Rob Chestney that the Threat of Peace webcomic is an important asset for internet detectives following Star Wars: The Old Republic. For us here at Darth Hater, we see it as a relatively untapped well of gameplay and story information, possibly rivaling the Holonet. To this end we thought it might be a good idea to look at some of the more unusual or interesting clues that may be hidden in the art and story of the comic. Hit the jump for a fresh look at the Threat of Peace.

Fans of Star Wars: The Old Republic were given a treat today with the announcement that the Imperial Agent will be a playable class. This may not be a surprising addition considering the amount of foreshadowing, but, with last weeks Jedi Knight reveal, the timing surprised nearly everyone. In addition to the reveal, we were also treated to four screenshots, giving us not only a look at the upcoming class, but also the graphics as a whole. So hit the jump, and let's take a closer look.
Today Sean announced the battle of Bothawui and a new Threat of Peace:
The Battle of Bothawui
A new holorecord in the Jedi Archive captures a poignant moment in the Republics recent history. Master Gnost-Dural recounts the story of the battle of Bothawuia battle in which the courage and sacrifice of Jedi and Republic forces scored a major victory against the Sith Empire.
BTC 18 Nearly a decade after the return of the Sith Empire and the start of the Great War, the Empire had scored dozens of victories, establishing its dominance in the Outer Rim. As the Sith turned their forces toward the Mid Rim, however, the Republic prepared a bold surprise. When an Imperial squadron arrived to seize control of Bothawui, the entire Republic fleet was waiting. The fleets victory was celebrated across the galaxy, but the truly inspiring moment was yet to come. As the Republic fleet dispersed to defend other battlefronts, only a small force remained behind to face the Empires retribution. The Jedi and Republic troopers on Bothawui never had a chance of surviving the Imperial attack, but their courage and selflessness in the face of impossible odds won a victory far greater than that from any single battle. The heroic stand on Bothawui restored hope across the galaxy, and rallied the Republics forces to fight with renewed courage.
Threat of Peace #18 The eighteenth issue of Threat of Peace is full of suspense and suspicion. Jedi Master Orgus Din is called away from Balmorra to pursue a suspect in the Senate Tower bombing, the Bounty Hunter Braden. Meanwhile, Lord Baras foils an assassination attempt on Korriban, and Jedi Knight Fortris Gall requests Lieutenant Tavuss help on Dantooine.
The recent reveal of Balmorra has been an interesting addition to the list of planets in Star Wars: The Old Republic. With a history cultivated in the EU, many in the community guessed it would be a playable world in TOR. While there is more then enough lore for Star Wars fans to revel in, this article will focus on what game play features the addition of this planet may be supporting or hinting at.

The big thing is, this appears to be a world that both factions are fighting over, due to the fact that it makes battle droids. And for all you Morrowind players (I'm one of them) remember this Balmorra has two r's.
