  • Reverse Engineering Schematics Bug

Along with the recent patch notes posted a couple days ago was information about a bug involving schematics learned through reverse engineering. In the beginning, BioWare was just investigating the occurrence of it but now, it appears to be a bigger issue than originally thought.

    BioWare

    Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that we're still heavily investigating this issue and your reports have helped. If you are currently experiencing this issue, please refrain from reverse engineering items until we provide a solution to this. This issue only occurs when learning schematics from reverse engineering. You can still learn schematics from trainers and items without any problems.

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

Hopefully, the bug will be fixed soon.

Near the end of The Old Republic's testing phase some itemization changes went to the test server that caused a great deal of consternation among many testers. A short time ago Emmanuel Lusinchi posted a lengthy write-up of these changes, their intent and what really happened to the Modification System.

So, yes, if you see a green armor you really like, you still can have that appearance until end level. It does take a bit of work - you either need to become a crafter yourself, befriend one or trawl the GTN.

Read after the break for the full text of Emmanuel's post.

In the same week as the Crew Skills update and the announcement of a new Community Manager, you would expect the DevTracker to be abound with entries. Surprisingly enough there were quite a few this week in response. This week's DevTracker Highlights include the introduction of a new Community Manager, details on Crew Skills, and a response to speculation on a possible uptick in community communication from the developers.

Yesterday, Electronic Arts presented its annual Winter Showcase in London, and Darth Hater was there to watch for news on Star Wars: The Old Republic. BioWare revealed the Imperial Agent at last year's showcase, so our expectation bar raised a few notches. With information on both PvP Warzones and the eagerly anticipated crafting system, this European event did not disappoint.
