UPDATE: Regarding the Felucia and Endor controversy, we have it confirmed from on site that both planets were used as an example of how things are designed larger than life in the Star Wars universe to give a reference point of scale, not that anyone should think that either planet was in the game. -

Convention season allows us the opportunity to learn a great deal about a game through presentations and hands on time, but it also gives us the ability to talk directly with the men and women working on every aspect of Star Wars : The Old Republic . While our interviews normally focus on members of the LucasArts and BioWare teams, sometimes we are lucky enough to talk with other professionals who are working to bring you everything else TOR related. Today we spent some time with Dave Marshall, Associate Editor at Dark Horse Comics, to learn a little more about the webcomics Blood of the Empire and Threat of Peace.

Star Wars Celebration V Schedule Posted
Star Wars Celebration V posted their preliminary schedule (viewable here), and one notable event is "The Art and Writing of Star Wars: The Old Republic " on Friday, August 13 and Saturday, August 14. Star Wars Celebration V is August 12 - 15, 2010 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.

For the past week, we've been spotlighting the various activities and programming at Star Wars Celebration V (August 12-15th) that may appeal to specific types of Star Wars fans. The updated event schedule shows a complete roster of attractions at the convention, but here are some things that fans of Star Wars video gaming won't want to miss.
Fans of LucasArts video gaming will want to acquaint themselves with room W315AB, the LucasArts Free Play Area. Here, a variety of LucasArts games in a variety of formats will be available for play. This room is opened from 10 am - 9 pm, Thursday through Saturday, and 10 am - 5 pm on Sunday.
Be sure to visit the LucasArts booth on the Celebration Experience exhibit floor, booth #1539

More Comic Con and Celebration V Details From Drew Karpyshyn
BioWare and Star Wars: The Old Republic writer Drew Karpyshyn updated his blog with details about his ComicCon and Celebration V appearances: However, the wait is worth it, because I have an update on my appearances at Comic Con in San Diego. I will be speaking on a BioWare/LucasArts panel on Friday from 1-2 pm. I'm also going to be signing books at the Random House booth from 4-5 pm on Friday. (We're trying to get some advance copies of Mass Effect: Retribution, but it's not a sure thing yet.)

Sean Dahlberg confirmed Star Wars : The Old Republic 's presence at Star Wars Celebration V in a Twitter response: Actually, we will be there! We're not quite ready to share what exactly TOR will be doing at Star Wars Celebration V but we will soon.
Star Wars Celebration V takes place Aug. 12-15, 2010 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. You can find ticket and event information at the official Star Wars Celebration Website.
Update: In another Tweet, Sean Dahlberg talks about their presence at Gamescom:We will definitely be at GamesCom again this year... and maybe some other events, too!
